using glossy white laminates.. u planning to use the same?

I am honestly super impressed with u guys leh.. i hv never tot of calculating the daily energy costs of different types of lights lor.. and neither did my hubby.. anyways, i hv i think 2-3 T5s at my cove for dining area, it seems quite bright to me leh and its yellow lighting and we have a large mirror opposite the cove.. maybe tt helps..

the rest of hinges for cabinet doors are hafele.. all the right hand side hinges wordings are terbalik.. have to tell them to put right side up again.. and our study table.. boarded up recess area under the window to do up the table, backing is gypsum board and cos table too long so need to put a support in the middle otherwise table top might bend.. according to ID..

some pics of kitchen almost ready except for solid surface.. hood n hob is up! set of drawers on the right is Blum (included in reno) set of drawers on the left is not Blum cos was not in package (added in drawers after signed) but planning to get ID to chg the runners to Blum this lift-up door above the sink was a nice surprise cos didnt know ID was putting Blum as well..

ya..only compared prices for 2 places.. abt $5 cheaper at haikel and also cos nearer to hubby's place so hubby went down to pay for fan but cos dun hv white when he was there so had to ask them to deliver cos we werent ard when the stock arrived, and ID needed to install.. so had to pay extra for delivery charges... yup got top cabinet.. photos in a bit... ID included Blum i our reno for 1 set of drawers.. then i wanted another drawer set at diff part of the cabinet, so she say those dun have Blum lor.. so i said ok.. then the other day, after install n i tried, can really feel the diff between the normal drawer runners vs the Blum ones.. so now thinking of asking ID to change the other set of drawer runners to BLum... hehehe... confused kid leh me..

ya i totally agree! my plastering for my whole house is $1500.. i found tt expensive also.. but needed to do it cos previous owner did some 'rock stone' surface so walls are not smooth.. but as long as contractor is reliable and is able to HO to u as promised, think tts impt, so wont get so much headache as reno progresses..

heh... i got it from overseas so much cheaper.. prices here are way too expensive!

er... i think i remember reading something abt a pole for the string curtain leh.. maybe can ask the ppl from the string curtain shop?

also made some purchases at Tang's today.. a pot n a pan from Zwilling.. they are having 50% off plus 5% if Singtel user.. salesgirl at Zwilling very helpful.. for ppl who doesnt really cook, stuff in our kitchen is coming up to be quite expensive.. and still hvnt gotten our fridge, washing machine n dryer yet..

kitchen cabinets up.. my very young carpenters.. hubby joked that they were child labors.. apparently they are abt early 20s.. still very young lor....! to be installed..

hi seashell, sorry to hear ur woes.. did u get the laminated flooring from supreme direct? from wat i understand from the inovar sales guy, he said inovar used to manufacture the floorings for supreme til recently, so maybe they manufactured ac5 for the same color for supreme..? and he claims tt the AC ratings for some companies is based on their own guidelines (inovar's is based on international guidelines) dunno how true lah.. cud be his sales gimmick.. why dun u go back to the person u signed the supreme floorings with and tell them u want what u signed for.. cos it shud be stated in receipt rite.. hope everything turns out well at the end for u.. oh n came across this article also.. just for info.. http://www.laminateflooringco.com/a-laminate-ac-ratings.html

i also trained to wash own plates n stuff after meal.. thank god hubby also.. i see things in sink i also buay tahan one leh.. :rolleyes: ve_ve> think no need for a dishwasher also leh.. cos when if dun let the water run when soaping the plates, shud be fine, only turn on tap when wanna rinse.. a bit mah fan lah.. but tts a way to save on water lor..
