  2. i thinking of giving my PC the red card then change to network storage. i thinking is it my PC lagging then cause the media player to lag also but network storage costs a big bomb! i got a shock when i was told the price........
  3. yes you are right, everything is the same only the memory space diff nia
  4. yah, i was faced with no work for those days and delay of schedule...... no rush cannot, if not CNY liao still haven HO.
  5. retailing for $13 at hafary and got it at $11 and a further 10% off the entire bill if pay by cash. is better to buy tiles on your own instead of asking ID or contractor to buy. i calculated and i save close to 3k by doing the coordinating of the tiles myself.
  6. woo will go check it out. thanks!
  7. only those high memory files then lag, bluray files have big and enormous file size and bitrate. still figuring out how to reduce the lag......... i not using direct usb connect cos 1 portable harddisk is never going to be enough for me.
  8. ha that's when u see no workers at your place and appearing only after a few days of no work or 1 worker on the whole house then you know did a mistake that gave contractor an impression you jin chin chai liao. my place have at least 10 days plus minus throughout the renovation got nobody doing anything. that 10 days period just nice his other clients rushing work. i got the info from the workers working in my place. after that then i use force and demand ppl to start working then things start to move. this simply teach me no more chin chai liao. after that is all demand and demand. no more shui bian. i cannot imagine if i carry on chin chai, think drag another 2weeks then HO.
  9. yo for my case, it's better to rush contractor cos some contractor see you chin chai no hurry then they will drag yours and rush other clients who are not chin chai. speaking from personal experience.
  10. yo, updates on the media player. to have PS3 be able to play m2ts files, you have to manually delete the "s" behind each of the m2ts file names. which i do not wan to mess around cos i might clash my other players linked to the files. so i bought the PlayOn!HD mini player. tried to use it last night and it works! even with a 30 metre LAN cable in between. only problem i have now is that some movies stutters and some show unknown audio format....... need more researching to find out why. conclusion is: PS3 is good for games and playing movies with disc. to link up a network media library, i think media players works better unless SONY gives a good patch to PS3 firmware soon. ;)
  11. wah i am so flattered by your compliments considering i did the layout and designs myself. maybe i should start part time? joking lah molecule i thought sell clocks de? i think their price not nice also. lol. i saw at spotlight yesterday but only left green colour. $25 went to another shop in plaza sing and was quoted $255 for the same thing......... lol, good idea but dun wan to add more colours, later too messy just looking for a curtain that fits the colour of the room.
  12. eh not really lah. cos i asked electrician not to install the exterior rainbow glass as i scare later they make dirty. so after move in i fix myself lor, screw too tight till the glass break. LOL
  13. thanks! i still looking for a customized curtain to hide the ugly windows. bronze colour a bit off in this room. lazy to call Mr Chew, rest day also have so many places to go and buy things. you going overseas then will there be someone at home? better have someone they know at home or else they may get over stressed at new place without you around. yah, thinking most probably will leave it. since i change clothes then get out of the room liao. my wife then stay inside longer. we wanted to get the fluffy black carpet also but defeat the purpose of the sparkles floor tiles liao right? planning when we get tired of the tiles then try try the black carpet. i still looking for those string type curtain for the entrance to WIW. any idea where to buy? BTW IKEA launch their new catalogue for 2011. just went a few days ago, a lot of ppl there. maybe can drop by see have new hangers? and the hanger that i bought, there is 2 small hook there i suppose is for dresses? maybe can suit you
  14. i spent around 75k on the renovations excluding furniture and electrical stuffs hmm, the warm light bulb is ok, but the blue LED box have to be careful cos it tends to drop into the box holding it. We went back to change to another type which seems more durable with 2 LED instead of 3. that shop have the typical salesman experience for me. anyway we thought that buy once only so buy liao as long as the light is working then fine with us. glass is fragile, if you install yourself, do exercise extreme caution. we broke one of ours and $25 to replace it. thanks, i heard about your feature wall made of TV? can't wait to see haha wife has lots and lots of clothes and is a big cooker and baker, need a lot of workspace. luckily kiasu did the island, if not now no place to chop vegetables cos the other side's space fully taken by all the appliances! luckily my two doggies understand where is the no entry. they will stay outside the kitchen door to wait for their food. first night was a disaster though, my female keep barking whole night. now she sleeps soundly we was worried WIW will be too dark, now it really seems so. thinking to change to white bulbs so brighter but cannot bring out the sparkles on the floor......dilema. or maybe is i cannot get used to warm light.
  15. we inspect the shop for the best 3 exterior glass, salesperson took a few sets out for us to pick. but still the best 3 still have spots and marks here and there. did you inspect yours? we also bought from BL lightings at jalan besar, same building as lightings.com.sg
  16. i guess you can say that. but i not pro, just a hobby living floor is homo tiles, MBR is L-box as stated in my invoice. i dunno is it the same as light box or not
  17. hmm reno exclude all furniture and electricals should be around 75k yah we designed the whole house ourselves, all credit taken! lol. hope you guys find it nice last time thought of going into interior design line before, so this time design my own home put a lot of effort. hmm my toilet floor tiles you mean? so far when dry up did not leave any unwanted marks behind. do not need much cleaning. HENG. haha c i think you are refering to the $12k samsung high end LED TV. mine is not that, is 55" C8000 series, cost half of the high end steel border TV. thanks! roomba i have for quite some time already. as for the scooba, i did not notice it doesn't come with docking station when i buy. now i think is a hassle to take out battery to charge. i wonder if can upgrade to scooba with docking station next time. is Canon EOS 7D, Lens is Tokina 10-17 FE and Canon 50mm f1.8 not messy meh? maybe i will take picture of my another storeroom (empty common bedroom) total without furniture and electricals is around 75k
  18. hmm, i think is $1800? cannot remember liao. should be that range bah haha, pictures only tells you the surface and hides the problems behind. i think you will understand that very well. once move in, see more and more here and there YOU GOT IT RIGHT! but paiseh no prize I think we just love the bold colours and keep adding until become so many colours. LOL This pendant light is nice but hard to clean hor? the exterior glass is giving us a hard time to clean and we gave up. if look closely, can see many finger prints and marks. if possible change another. wife likes the colourful effect so we have to stick to it
  19. she choose looks better, gets my vote
  20. Yup have to be fire rated as my unit is near the lift. We search high and low for a door which doesn't look like wood, this is the best we can find and like it very much! Actually is half filled but haven really start move things from wife's place..... i use it to vacuum any small dust or pet furs i see, very useful as no need to take out the big clumsy vacuum for a simple job. i bought it at harvey norman for $300+
  21. It's been a long time since i use my camera, took a few photos for fun. That's all folks
