  1. You can check out the shops at The Verge... they were formerly from concourse at beach road... bought mine there and there are lots of choices... and prices are very competitive.. the tree itself is not expensive... the deco is... you need to be there to see what you want ...
  2. There are barcode scanners that work with ipad... i think through bluetooth... see link: http://www.iformbuilder.com/video/ipad-barcode-scanner/ This should be a better setup then building a kitchen computer...
  3. Hi April-Luv, I bought my outdoor furniture from wood&wood... u can find their contact at the beginning of page2 in this thread. My indoor furnture from few places... mostly from The Lifeshop... couple of pieces from Lim's Art & Living at Holland Village and the rest custom-made by my designer's carpenter. Happy shopping!
  4. IP stands for Internet Protocol... IP cameras are cameras that you can accessed remotely through internet by setting up and assigning an IP address to the camera. See definition from Wikipedia: An Internet protocol camera, or IP camera, is a type of digital video camera commonly employed for surveillance, and which unlike analogclosed circuit television (CCTV) cameras can send and receive data via a computer network and the Internet.
  5. Not true... u can get IP cameras (even wireless) at <$200 per unit. Take a walk around Sim Lim square.
  6. Dun tink you can get off the shelf, u need to custom-made to your bay window dimension. Just approach any upholstery shop.
  7. Actually for IP camera, you do not need to turn on the PC for it to work... I am using one for the same purpose and I can view it from my iphone anytime, whether my PC is turned on or not.
  8. Not too sure if they are still selling... they change their accessories from time to time... should get them during their warehouse sales.. cos i feel that their prices are getting more and more expensive... compared to say 10+ yrs back... of course there is inflation but feel that they are now pricing themselves much higher... in fact, they are not so much into retail now... they had closed all the retail shops at raffles city and millenia walk (and the earlier paragon)... more into doing projects with corporate... pity cos I always like their design and products... ya... hopefully can work on my dream project soon... am on the look out but property prices are still very high... unless I strike toto soon.. oh and about cushion covers... I bought a few nice cushion (with covers) from Tangs... the one at Orchard (Not too sure about the Vivo outlet)... not that expensive but the designs are quite nice... u might wanna check it out if you like to change your cushion cover periodically depending on mood like me...
  9. Nope... just normal cleaning periodically with cloth... I have few sets of cushion covers... those in the pics were from Lifeshop.... I just have this special liking for furniture and deco using natural materials such as wood, canes, rocks etc... Almost bought a house last year with plan to tear down and rebuild with the resort theme in mind using lots of wood (Doors, window frames beams etc) and big stone structures... too bad it didn't materialize.... this is still on my "wish list" ... maybe next project
  10. Tks Joy... They were from my old place... Bought them 10yrs back from The Lifeshop... Timeless pieces in my opinion... Asked contractor to refurbish and re-upholstery... Still look good at my new place... Love them... Always give me a cozy n peaceful feeling when I come home...
  11. I custom-made my stainless-steel hanging wine-rack through my ID... Are you currently renovaitng your place? If so, easiest is to ask your contractor or ID to source for you (but do your research if you do not want to be "chopped-carrot")... cause mounting onto the concrete ceiliing and patching up the false-ceiliing (if you have one) can be coordinated... You can refer to my other thread posting for pic: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...49&start=50
  12. If budget is a constraint, you can check out IKEA. Saw one dining table (JAMSUNDA - 221 x 90 cm) selling at $245 couple of months back. Looks good and value-for-money in my opinion.
  13. Tks... That's all for the balconies... Where else u wanna view?
  14. Thanks Joy! Long time no "see"... Ya.. I love the 2 balconies too...
  15. I think I paid about $1500 for the living set and about $2000 for the dining set... inclusive of the cushions and glass tops (some places sell them separately)
  16. Finally settled down at my new place... the outdoor sofa and dining sets have been delivered... sharing with all some pics as promised earlier:
  17. I'm not into any of the products that you guys are discussing (I'm using a simple water filter from OSIM) and do not want to join this debate. However, I really cannot understand why such vulgarity, language and personal insults and attacks are being used here over such a discussion. Pls keep this forum a clean, informative and interesting place. Pls improve or go away. Moderator, pls help.
  18. Just one lock.. I stained all the doors at home dark but the main door facing outside cannot be touched due to condo rules...
  19. Had mine (4109) installed for a week now... have no problem and really like the convenience of "keyless entry"... esp when I am out jogging or carrying lots of grocery bags... just need to scan the fingerprint... another plus point for me is that I do not have the give physical key or pin number to my domestic helper and worried that she might give it away to outsider... just scan her fingerprint and erase it when she is not working for us anymore... same for my young kids... dun have to worry about them losing keys or cards... they really think it's cool to have the high tech biometric scanning... and I have to stop them from playing with the lock.. And one more suggestion to share if u r going for this model... scan fingers from both right and left hand... so that you can use the other hand when one hand is occupied... Overall, a very good investment and thanks Ejzoen for organising this. I will post some pics as promised these few days.
  20. Getting the YDM 4109 installed this Saturday. Will post some pics and feedback when done.
