Anyone can tell me the minimum height clearance for the side table to be able to 'slot into' the sofa? Saw a side table with a 42mm height. Just to clarify, have not got the sofa delivered yet, so can't do it myself. Thanks in advance.

I have been hunting passively for decorative paintings too...found a website that does canvas printing, just send in the picture or photo and they can do it for you. But expect the price to be a little steeper than IKEA>

Hi Shaney, Try FBT at Furniture Mall, happened to pass by and saw some nice ones....around $599 for a decent piece large enough for a sofa area.

I did question my ID and his explanation was because I am changing the layout of my unit by hacking away some walls etc, need to submit the plan for HDB's approval with architect's recommendation. Hence, the charges were for architect's recommendation. This is what I gather, I may be "carroted" too.

I stand corrected. If you are doing some hacking of walls or something major likewise, I think the HDB needs an engineer/architect to sign on a request, so that is where the money goes to.

Thanks Jaskel. Those IDs told me that not everyone can appreciate my layout. So effectively, I am cutting away a big chunk of prospective buyers next time.

Just bought a 5 room-unit with the intention of taking down the kitchen wall and one of the bedroom wall to make the living area bigger. Will be doing an open concept kitchen. After doing that, I will be left with one common room and MBR, but a large living room cum study/cosy corner. My thoughts were since there are only my wife and me living in this unit, less walls the better. at least we get to see each other when we are doing our own things. I like big space too and minimum furniture to make cleaning an easy task. Spoken to two to three IDs, they told me that not many people do that becoz the value of the unit will depreciate. Is that true?

Bought mine late Nov at Sengkang, 10k COV for 5 room high floor. Felt lucky to get this house since it was "love at first sight" after many viewings. Both my wife and me were grateful to the seller for not making things difficult.

I have got the appointment dated 23rd Mar after signing my OTP around late Nov. Both the seller and me are trying to get an earlier date, wrote in to appeal, pending outcome. Hopefully, I am as lucky as you.
