lol...according to ID as Intra did not itemize pricing. Maybe due to the wet-works required?....so when I go to CLC, I just say laminates..., Also though I like tiles (and the sound absorption cause I need that too...),I think easier to talk when selling as laminates can be easily remove.......... thanks..good...black i like......GR is behind the Eminent FC right?

Does the glass sink comes with black colour?....nice sink..... 2-way tap is for toilet...for shower or basin...if basin, second way is for purpose?...picking ur brain....

INTRADESIGN
wcseow replied to junye's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
For the 3rd time in a row, we have selected Angeline from Intradesign. This time round, it was a toss-up between Intradesign and CLC. It was a tough decision as we are very comfortable with CLC as well. In the end, we selected Intradesign probably because of good experience with them from the last renos.... -
Last weekend activity..... 1. Tiles and laminate selection. My wife said just let ID design. So no need to go see see. Angeline will select the tiles/laminates and show it to us. Sama sama last time......... 2.Dropped in Adelphi with the intend to order the Anthony Gallo speakers. A bit taken aback when the quote given was different when I was there a month a ago. Now seeking clarifications. If they stick to the same pricing, I will go for KEF..... 3. In between sending kids to badminton/tae kwan do, rush to see furniture. Visited Fullhouse in Aljunied. Initially served by a guy which was quite pleasant. We like one set of sofa and could not decide on the dining table. But then I think the supervisr/boss came over and started talking crab sales talk. Asking us to pay first and select later. Every set we point to is good according to him. Sigh. Annoyed, so left. Also lost our interest in the sofa. 4. Drop by Courts again since it is near my kid TKD place. Short-listed a 3+2 Lorenzo sofa (which was not available in Lorenzo showroom apparently or else can use my loyalty card... It is compact 3+2, but there are lots of lines in the design which we typically do not like. Anyway, will keep this in mind. At least...got one shortlisted. 5. Also visited Aero in Parkway, while checking out the electrical stuff. The build-in oven that comes with the unit trip the circuit breaker, so we decided not to replace it and have more space in the kitchen cabinet. Intend to buy a table top one. my wife could not decide on which capacity to buy.She like the 25l Kenwood but would like to check out Turbo table top oven. But neither Courts, Harvey Norman and Best displayed them. Well, thats about it. No order yet. Anyone know where my wife could see the Turbo table top oven(other than the Jln Besar showroom), kindly drop a note. Reno should start Monday, with the permit application and protection scheduled for this week. Handover date should be end June and we plan to shift in July and hopefully can find a replacement tenant starting from Aug.

Hi.........lol..........Finally we have selected our ID, it is Intradesign..............ya...again........: So a quick summary of what we have went through 1. Intradesign - Selected Needless to say, we are comfortable as they have done our previous 2 reno but the feel to find some1 new and hope to get a fresh look is strong. In the end, despite very strong competition from CLC, we choose them, mainly we feel their workmanship, especially on the small touches, are what we wanted. 2. CLC - Colours by Leslie Chua They are out in our final 2. Honestly, we were very keen to select them and thus we go down to some details on their quote and work. Jeremy and Leslie attended to us and they are very professional and nice throughout the whole process. I will have no second thoughts in recommending them even though I did not engage them 3. Summit Design We drop them after the first run, though we did work with them for a couple of sessions. Our frank assessment is the ID that attended to us, though eager and hardworking, did not really think into the design other than space planning. Personally we do not think we would sign any offer if we do not have an idea of how the design is going to be. 4. Inside Living Not comfortable with a $500 design fee before any work is done. Drop them and bring in CLC... Well....one small step in the process... Now the headache starts---looking for furniture, bathroom fixtures, lights...... I have gone to IFC in Sungei kadut, Beach Road, IMM, Fullhouse Furnishings, Lorenzo, Cellini, Furniture Club, Star Furniture, Hommage, Liang Huat (Msia)....still have not find a sofa/dining table/bedframe that I like. I think I will go back to Hommage. Saw a bedframe and sofa that I really like in Furniture Club but very wary of the comments by other customers so I decided not take any risk. I also suspect the range for S&C will be similar with Hommage. Any1 can suggest where else I could go?

cool....these kind of laminates is very nice....... would u consider not doing the small glass door?..IMHO a bit out of place....
-
yes, the left ones are as the depth of the small walls are thinner, mimicking a pillar i think, But the dark color below the TV are full depth. I remember seeing a player in there. BTW, the dark color actually have grooves..looks nice,,,,

hi..this one for u I kind of sneak a photo of the above when I was at Intradesign (my previous 2 reno ID). I kind of think it is nice for your wardrobe cum TV wishes. Normally, ppl will do the TV inside the wardrobe and then cover it with a door. This one has the TV outside which I think made it look classier. Its more like a TV feature wall with a hidden wardrobe then a wardrobe with a hidden TV.... It may not be clear but everything is a cabinet, including the dark color panel, If u take the TV location as the reference 1. The two huge doors on the left has the clothes hanger inside, normal wardrobe, with drawers etc.. 2. The two white panels at the bottom of the TV has the video/audio devices (starhub...etc) 3. Further down, the dark color are also cabinets 4. To the right, the dark color panels are also cabinets, housing DVDs, etc...... For your thoughts.....

Sunday................final day

lol......TV console design quite standard and typically it would be good enuff for those standard equipment. U have to be careful only when u have those bigger than normal sizes, like AV receivers, some amplifiers and also wireless modem if u intend to put in ur TV console area. So it is important that u decided what u wanted to buy before confirming the design so that the ID can take extra care for it. Most console design will have cable outlets drilled and typically they will use those standard cover, for the console exit/entrance cabling point. But those cover are standard colors, thus just make sure it blend with the color u select for that portion of the console. For my previous one, I have small cable trunking made and painted with the same color as the wall. I had small holes drilled just enuff for the speaker cables for my console top speakers. Guess the most important now for u is to decide on the sound system..lol........ have fun

Should be 6 times applicant income and there should be a max too, typically $30K. I believe each applicant can applied individually(mean max 60k) as long as the qualifying requirement are met........ but then hor, if u can, do not take such loan lah....such loan are typically of high interest and the amount u borrowed has no appreciation value. (IMHO)....

lol...I post another because I received a nice little sms from the sales person in IMM outlet asking whether I am still interested in their sofa. In reality, I am as I like the mechanism and I cannot find similar one elsewhere, but I am really concern about what kind of goods I am going to received and the support after that........... So I guess, the "take less risk" part of me say be very careful............lol......

Lol..I bought my previous system from AV1....KEC service was pretty good too but unfortunately the Heco/Castle combination suited me more and matches my reno as well. and yes, cable management is a pain. In my previous reno, my AV receiver was inside the cabinet. Unfortunately I decided to purchase the system only after the reno. So it was a pain especially if u wanted to re-connect and the receiver was heavy and the depth of the cabinet was not deep enuff. This time round though, I instruct my ID to ensure there is sufficient depth, not just to seat in the receiver but to also allows for cable turn (+3 inch is what I give, a bit kiasu.....). The preference is to have the receiver exposed but to have a back cover to cover the interconnects. Lol..yes I am also interested to see what they come up with after I decided who to chose which will be Sunday!!!!...

Just note that some AV receiver do not process HDMI audio (they pass it thru) and some devices do not output audio via HDMI (more rare). Take a look at this thread http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...0&start=320 , there a fellow forummer that bought Onkyo 607 with Mordaunt Short Carnival 5.1 speaker system for $1.3K.................. u can go down to Adephi to audition, the more u listen, the higher ur budget goes...lol......

lol...ya...we..... Viewing was good (see Angteko t-blog for more details.................) Cannot take photo...pai seh.... but now find out it is lucia's unit........

1. Wii do not have HDMI. Its either component or composite video. 2. If the AV receiver u are buying can process HDMI audio, then all those boxes (ps3, xbox, DVD) do not need another audio port. It will be delivered via the same HDMI connection. Note some older DVD players have HDMI port but it is only for video only. 3. So assuming ur AV receiver process HDMI audio and ur DVD player can send audio via HDMI, then u need 3 HDMI inputs, and 1 composite (for ur Wii) The coax port is also for audio. HDMI - supports video and audio. Component - only video Optical - audio only There are too many variables in determine which is better (video resolution, cable quality etc). Generally, for video, both HDMI and Component can carry the same resolution up to 1080p although not many TVs/devices support 1080p on Component. Thus generally people prefer HDMI. Couple to that HDMI can carry audio also, it is better to have one cable that carry audio/video rather than separate cable for video (component) and audio. Thus HDMI is preferred generally. With the newer audio like TrueHD etc. it can be carried by HDMI only. The standard Dolby Digital, DTS, can be carried by both HDMI and Optical/Coax. For reasons similar to above, ppl also generally prefer HDMI. Hope it help

lol..... normally we did not ask to see showflat as previously all the materials used in the proposal are able for viewing in the showroom. For CLC case, apparently we can only see it in a flat they have worked on. It worked out well for us too, get to see a 1-year old renovated flat thus the bonus of seeing what the condition is like after a year...

Hi, thanks for letting us view ur place and accomodate the late request........... My wife is particular about the kitchen cabinet/drawers mechanism used and thus we are eager to see it... Nice spider too.....
