    do you meant the rest of the shelf brackets in Ikea? If yes, those brackets are mostly very obvious to eyes (not "invisible") after fixed and doesn't make the shelf looks like floating on wall. I want the bracket to be "invisbible" just the shelf on the wall.

    Hi, I want to do wall shelf for my living room and study. It seems to be an easy job. I like the idea of floating wall shelf (“invisible bracket” or at least the bracket is not easily noticed). Went to ikea, Lack shelf is great but not as hard as it is paper-stuff in side the shelf. Tend to descend after a while if used on heavy objects. http://www.ikea.com/sg/en/catalog/products/20186182/ Marginal wall shelf is next best but the price quite steep at $69 each. http://www.ikea.com/sg/en/catalog/products/90176504/ Moreover, I already have some nice wood shelf pieces left from the past, if I get Marginal, to me it will be $69 just for 2 brackets. Can someone help me, where can I get those “invisible” bracket to fix my “floating” wall shelf. Appreciate your inputs. Thanks

    3) thinking of not painting the metal sheet as it probably complement the room decor, what is the metal grade/material to use if to leave it bare metal? what i meant is i want a clean sheet of metal that need not paint and look nice/clean at the same time. what grade of metal sheet to use?

    HI all, Saw the same idea in latest Home and Decor. http://www.homeanddecor.com.sg/bigidea/stick-%E2%80%99em Want to turn a side of the wall cabinet into a magnetic wall in my kids room. A good way to show case their art work. The side of the cabinet is wood and dimension is 58cm x 217cm. need some advice here: 1) where to get the metal sheet, with shop name and tel would be good. 2) how glue the metal sheet onto the side of wood cabinet? what glue/chemical to use so that it stick on well and last long? 3) thinking of not painting the metal sheet as it probably complement the room decor, what is the metal grade/material to use if to leave it bare metal?     Do you know or remember soonly ann got the same marble table but 3.5ft in diameter? I am looking for one. 4ft is very common but too big for my dining area and 3ft is just too small for my family. Thanks.

    Would like to DIY curtain (eyelet type). Got textile fr IKEA. Is it hard to DIY eyelet type of curtain? Esp the ring onto the textile? I got my aunt who is a sewer who can help sewing the edge but need to buy eyelet. Anyone know where to get eyelet, any shop/wholeseller that selling curtain accessories?

    strawberry8, Thanks for sharing, I am keen get the same size but ring with clip type, how much is per foot and where to get? Hmmm..... 6mm diameter is quite small for most eye-let type curtain which is usually very heavy. You sure that diameter size can support that weight?

    strawberry8, I am also thinking doing the same using the same DIY curtain rod for my house. I intend to use steel ring with clip and go through the pipe How do you put up your curtain with the DIY rod? Do you mind sharing? Please show pic the best! (: Thanks.
