wow! ur progress seems like a rocket! (or mayb mine had delays la) haha.. initalli we wanted dark toilets(seems more classy) but it seems tt everyone pretty much objected to it sayin it'll b too dark. we're quite happy w the wall as it turned out.. e brightness makin it feel more spacious in tt cramped little place. so what type of tiles did u choose in e end? ur hse is like a complete mystery!

We went jln besar for sink/tap shopping today. here are our purchases! kitchen professional sink kitchen industrial tap MBR 2 x vanity sink and 2 x tall table mounted tap we also bought a very common common toilet shower set and mixer. ALl these were bought from Royal Fanco from Jln Besar. The service was good and prices competitive. Love their service(the couple of henry and wife(i assume) were fabulously helpful. But NONONO haggling of prices though. haha. but we were willing to pay for the service la.

i got tis reply from a FSM when i asked him bout dongtu, (i engaged him to select weddin date but decided nt to do 'house audit') ::: On door opening ceremony: <reply> This is the Chinese procedure that you may want to do (optional) when you open door for the first time (if you need a date for this, i can advise you free here as this is a general tong shu date. From feng shui perspective, it is not impt): 1) Roll a pineapple from the main door to the middle of the living room to symbolise ushering in of wealth and prosperity. 2) Mix rice and salt together and sprinkle on all corners of the house. Rice is to represent abundance of food in the future and salt is believed to get rid of spirits and ghosts. It is also believed that these spirits hide in corners of the house, hence people normally throw at the corners. The last burst you will throw out of your house to symbolise getting rid of them out of your house. 3) Sprinkle green beans at the living room area. It is believed that if the bean sprout, it means lots of offpsring. But this is not possible as there is no water. Hence in modern days, what some will do is to bring along a plate with wet cotton wool and put the beans on top (in addition to sprinkle on the floor). Only this way will the beans sprout. Other than these, if you want to do any form of praying etc, you can go ahead as those are more of religious practice, not feng shui. :::: Also, any procedures to follow for the dong tu ceremony? <reply> If the hacking of the tiles do not fall on the dong tu day, can we just use the hammer to knock a crack in the tiles? Does that suffice as a commencement of dong tu? Just ask the contractor to start hacking or renovating the house within the 2 hrs will do. Yes they can use hammeer to knock a crack in the tiles, but best is still to hack and drill something of significance. -------------- well hope tt helps!

thanks alot for e advice! appreciate it. for e study/relax area vs dining area: yup we've tot bout doin wad ya say before too but we decided to place more emphasis on e study/relax area cos we'll most prob spend more time there than dining.. so we still decided to hav more focus on tt area. & we got a rotating tv fr MBR to study/relax area where we can use our laptops and watch tv at e same time.. =) if only we have an even larger space den we can hav best of both worlds! haha kitchen: yep considering ur advice and see how it goes =) toilet: our toilet is really VVVVVVVVVVV small.. even aft bring e vanity out we hav problems fixing a shower screen and toilet bowl into e original toilet space..

photo3: kitchen design is what we have in mind.. but the colours need fine tuning.. haha.. probably prefer a black n white concept n juz a normal microwave oven for cooking noobs like us.. photo4: mbr vanity area outside toilet our vanity tt is pulled out of the toilet in MBR.. tinking of whether to make full height glass parittion or half wall half glass.. Henry was e one who suggested full ht glass but we were tinkin half half but now full ht oso seems nice lei... oh & the toilet door we'd probably prefer frsoted glass door.. comments comments!

Another surprise today! Henry juz gave a call juz now and sent us our 3Ds! here goes.. the living rm hmm... nt exactly accurate to our requirements.. we're gg to install a ceiling fan instead of a chandelier. design looks nice for the feature wall and tv console but tink we'd prefer more of black/white laminates over woody feel.. photo2 : the knocked down walls to form a open study/relax area with glass looking into kitchen. we pretty much love e design of tis.. with the bench n stuffs.. =)

Had a pleasant surprise today. received a call fr Henry at noon and he asked me if i've went up to my pl to see.. apparently, henry hacked off e walls that have been approved and cleared all e debris and had e tiles/sand/cement delivered! He also told me he'll show me some 3Ds nxt tue/wed .. looking fwd! still awaiting a certain permit to be approved for e final 2 walls to be hacked.. made more sense if everyth approved den hack and clear debris at one shot instead of doing it twice like now.. henry says no pt waiting & waiting la.. do what can be done first.. so it was a pleasant surprise indeed. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following proposed renovation works are pending evaluation by our Technical Departments.
