With my quick tempermental character, my kitchen cabinets would have badly damaged by now if I didn't install all anti-slam doors & drawers. I don't cook but I clean up the surface everyday with moist micro cloth as the windows are left open 24 hours a day. My place here is very windy & therefore very dusty too. But So far so good, the kitchen is clean & surface top is still shining! As for the tiles, I have factored in the stains & dirt trapping problems & therefore didn't choose those 'nice to have' tiles, but only those smooth surfaced wall tiles.

Bro, Kobe I can ask my ID Donny to be the driver for our next RT gathering I cannot find rich Ah Pek yet. So, for now, he is our driver My ID always tried to 'siem' whenever he saw me holding my camera during the reno period. So, cant find same pose of Donnie Yen's picture. the remote control device costs less than $30 (in the region of $22 to $26). But, you need to pay extra to the electrician for special wiring. I remembered I paid about $100 for the device & wiring.

Sisters here, It looks like my good ID has now become our family good friend! Last Thursday I was very frustrated with my upstairs Neighbour because of their chokage water pipe which burst & dirtied my mini garden area. They called their plumber but they told me nothing needs to be done on my side of the pipe, as they claimed they have cleared the chokage on the pipes upstairs already. When I heard my son told me, I immediately rushed home to settle with their plumber to seal up the air pipe at my side. My ID is aware of this problem too, and he is ready to call his contractor if my upstairs Neighbour has been difficult. Further, it was my late ex-hubby's second death anniversary. As my ID was visiting Bro Sunny's place which is nearby, so when my ID called to check with me the pipe issued, he volunteered to fetch me & my children to pay our respect to the children's late father. My ID even waited for us to finish our praying session & he sent us home. Thereafter, as ID is going over to Bro Sunny's place again to inspect the glass backsplash installation, I followed him there as I need him to fetch me to meet his friend for house audit. So, my ID is truly a very nice guy! . Not only my house he takes good care, he extended the same level of his commitment at Bro Sunny's house too!!

Bro, Actually the common toilet with attached bath looks as classy with the greyish wall tiles!! The step down at the common bathroom which was nicely done up...think csingeu feels sad when his contractor told him cannot do for him

Bro, Sunny Congrats! You have finally moved in to your newly renovated home!! I was with our ID, Donny, last Thursday while I took half day leave to run some personal errands. On the way, I followed him up to your place to look at glass backsplash and at the same time, witnessed him gave a lecture to the contractor as Donny rejected the smaller glass backsplash, and asking them to clean up the area. I will be asking Donny to construct a similar backspash for my kitchen cabinet near the stove too!

Bro, I personally fall in love with this black toilet of a resale house which was designed personally by the owner who is a Principal of a renowned design firm! Black wall tiles throughout the toilet with sparking white accessories & stainless pipes make the toilet looks Boomz!

Now I am confined at home since this morning. I finally have time for the plasterer guy to come to rectify the wall which saw bubbling plastering since last month. At the same time, I whatsapp my ID Donny if I can get the plasterer guy to coat a layer over the beam where the Aircon trunking sits underneath which had silicon joint, causing obvious dual tone painting. He told me ok, and within the next minute, called me up & asked to speak to the plasterer guy. Very sweet of him to bother to entertain me till this moment when he had already left the ID firm.

Sis Marshy Thank you for sharing your experience using the induction hob. I should have considered this method as I hardly cook at home. The thing I don't like now is the ring of burners get rusty easily. I also feel hard pain seeing them cutting out a big hole on the solid surface top!! Lesson learnt: if hardly cook, opt for potable induction hob!

Agreed! Other than higher electric cost, it is wiser to use induction cooker if your stove is located near windy window openings.

Sis May You are right. I am not a good cook & that's why I don't cook But you might be surprised that I do like cooking and always dream of whipping up a delicious dish for my children but definitely not cleaning & washing up the utensils after cooking which I hate most!
