  1. My $$$ tree is going to die liao....because it was neglected for the past 2 months when we moved out to make way for renovation, I placed it along the corridor and it is collecting dust due to lift upgrading in progress!!
  2. I have seen some houses with doors tilted and making it worst - facing the 'wall corners' of exterior walls or interior sharp wall corners!!
  3. This picture is taken from my main door, and you see the pipes exposed along the common corridor? The pipes are beside our 2nd entrance....and the most I can do is to place that potted plant there!!
  4. This is my reno t-blog topic... http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...5996&st=689
  5. When it comes to sound systems, I'm really a noob here. Wanted to get the Philips blu Ray sound bar, but not sure what else I need to get to have a complete sound system for a decent home entertainment. Sighzzzz
  6. Hi, nat0206 Thank you for reading my blog. I will send you the requested information tomorrow morning.
  7. Hi, Ed Nice to see you here I think my electrician charged me ard $100 to program the remote control lightings for my MBR, including the control device you have seen. Let me retrieve my electrical installation bill to reconfirm.
  8. May be you are younger than my flat? This block was built in 1979, already over 31 years. Currently upgrading the lifts as the last poll for MUP didn't garner minimum votes to proceed. I am waiting for en bloc in the near future...else I stay put here till my life expire or move with any of my children. I cannot buy HDB flats!!
  9. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...mp;#entry615656 Hi, I got my Mitsuibishi Aircon from a company called Aircon Designs Pte Ltd. The sales person is Joey. If you read my blog here, not sure which page though, I have mentioned my bad experience with the famous company chain called GC & the newspapers they stashed inside the concealed trunking & poor workmanship! That's why I went to this company Aircon Designs who provides quality material & workmanship!!
  10. hi, Can I reply to the Mitsubishi Aircon under my reno blog?
  11. Talking about Feng Shui, my favourable topic, here is the key point: When we select a formula to audit a yang dwelling for people, we have to note that considerations have to be given to the effect of both Heavenly and Earthly Qi, and whether the dwelling is a high rise apartment or a ground level house. Applying the wrong formula may be harmless or has no effect to the house, but you may end up wondering why the feng shui techniques does not work for some of you?
  12. The shop is quite new...called DE NEXT PAGE....#02-64. There are 3000+ designs for me to choose for the price of $498 per roll of 4.2mW x 2.8mH, except the 'Kids World' series which of course I dun have kids at home.
  13. There are so many directions.... So, if sleep facing West no good, you tell me how many people on earth have sleeping position facing WEST? For your info, my bed direction is facing WEST, and this is my favourable sleeping direction!!! By the way, I guess you know how to distinguish sleeping direction!
  14. Can't help but agreed with Bepgof! No FSM here...only KPOs.....because real FSM gone to make $$$ liao!!!! If live in HDB, sure can encounter all kinds of pipes...gas pipes, water pipes, air pipes.... Then when you raised your heads, you see beams and electric meter, gas meters! It is either you see them directly, or indirectly from different angles of your main door.... unless you don't stay in HDB especially those point block like my unit - open door see pipes and see meters!! I guess you or whoever probably seen the leaflet by one FSM in Toa Payoh showing the 'red candle' in front of one HDB unit, and another one showing how the water pipe running across another HDB unit and got scared right? What is the issue?
  15. It can be a quarrel or fight if one's mood is influenced by the cluttering when you step into the house with things blocking in front of you, especially when one come back exhausted his / her energy from work. Can you imagine if you angrily come back home, open the door, the sofa or chair is right in front and you tripped and fell...what would you do? I guess you prabably pick up that chair & throw at ????
  16. Hallo, marshmallow I was with csingeu yesterday and he mentioned you stayed nearby his area, in JW. I recalled your blog is one of them which I read while searching for reno inspiration before I started my own blog. So, I was exclaiming "oh...marshmallow? I have read her blog" while talking to him. Now, while reading thru, it seems like you young ladies (froggy, maydream, ...) are really great cooks!
  17. I would like to recommend the mover which I engaged in January 2011... Friendly, professional mover comprised of 5 local guys...patiently waiting for the lift to be repaired when it broke down the minute they arrived at my block. When the lift was ready, they didn't rush to unload...instead, they still carefully moved the boxes up to my unit and asked me politely where I want the boxes to be placed. For the record, I have more than 30 big jumbo boxes, more than 10 bags of clothings / stuffs, one IKEA chest, Kingsize mattress, stools, etc, and they charged me $300 for everything, for 4 hours of their time including the waiting time for the lift to be repaired. Here are the pictures taken on the day of our move...the sales person who came to assess the volume of goods is Ken:
  18. It surprised me when I stepped into the shop at IMM selling Korean wall papers. I inquired for the price for one feature wall & was quoted $498 for one big roll of 4.2m(W) X 2.8m(H)....so much cheaper than the wallpaper I paid for the wall facing my main door! Moreover, the wallpaper I got from Goodrich comes in smaller roll, have to cut & join so many panels!! I have placed my order & will be selecting the design these few days......as it takes 3 weeks to indent.
  19. Thank you for the compliment! You have a baby face & looks handsome than picture! We all like our kitchen as it is the only common area big enough for family gathering. The original L-shape livingroom was also as spacious as our ktichen. These are the basic of feng shui internal landform for consideration. hmmm......I also don't know how to advise you...but you definitely have to quickly do a revision to the design concept and present it to your wife asap
  20. I paid $788 including installation. You can visit my reno t-blog for more pictures & my signature has info on shop details.
  21. I concurred your statement & my ID Donny has graduated from advanced 'shao lin' school of martial arts in home renovation!! But hor, he is very fuzzy & has set himself very high demand & standards too! Remember when I asked him to install bottom mount sink? He will reject your request if he finds anything inappropriate or not durable in the long run. He does not want home owners to complain when problems surfaced later on. He prefers to preempt the problems & tell you NO in advance. Now, he graduates with flying colours after renovating my house!!
  22. Well, no doubt we both have posted our pictures on our blog, we finally see each other face to face! Thank you for visiting my house & picking me up to see your EM. The rooms are really spacious except that my kitchen is bigger than yours. I admire your courage in buying the EM in that conditions, and looks like you can challenge my extreme makeover!!
  23. continued from the above: The main gate repainted in beige...still trying to find the acrylic plate to shield the lower gate because when Town Council wash the common corridors on every 1st day of the month, water will splash into my house like nobody business! The back door.... Both main & side doors... hmmm....very unique with 2 doors ....Where else have you seen HDB flats with 2 entrances?
  24. Okie...finally can have sometime to re-take the pictures from my main door....and side door: From the Main door....the sofa is just a few steps away from the door entrance... ...that's why I bought the settee without the right armrest! From the moment you step into my house, there is feng shui placement & cure......did you spot any feng shui arrangement?
