  1. hi bro, im thinking of buying 5 ceiling fans (4 of size abt 40" for bedrooms and dining area, 1 of size abt 50" for living area). Only KDK. Any advice?

    Thank you!

  2. hello hapless101, my EM is still goin thru with its reno, i have the same issue like yours too, quotation from my contractor incl sealing up the opening with top swing casement windows, the initial cost was $1250, but the approval from HDB requires the change of window's material to laminated glass - which blows the cost to almost $2k. so i asked the contractor to resubmit the application to do fix panel for top half of the opening, and window up the bottom half, hopefully to cut the cost alittle. yes, it will be almost impossible to operate the windows after its installation, so you may just wanna keep the windows opened to an optimal angle and just leave 'em. this is the best solutions i got from other EM'ers so far. hope this helps. kind regards, stanley

hello kobelala & welcome adidaem, i actually took these few things into the account when i was considering the "then" overrated COV. (i heard that my neighbour has just been offered 80k and still turned down the offer.) i too heard from many that just a good polish will return the marble flooring close to pristine. my wife doesnt really like the existing color of all our wooden stuffs - stairway/banister, balcony folding doors etc, so we will most probably tone down the color to something like walnut color. adidaem, i actually forgot to photograph the bedrooms, will try to take a few next time i pop by and share 'em.

Bro Kobelala, you've been so helpful all these while, that's the least I can do. Fortunately the marble flooring is still in ok condition, I wont have enough budget to redo it anyway. Thanks for everything and hope to see you back here again.

thx mummymantras, the previous owner has been living here for something like 14 yrs. i gotta say they did a great job in maintaining the conditions. i especially love the chengai wooden folding doors and banister at stairway. one of the many factors that i took into account when i decided to cut the cheq for OTP.
