  1. I think its better for you to get a few quotation from different companies. Since most will give you a quotation item by item, you can then compare whether the companies are charging you market price. May want to start with the firms recommended by forummers here.
  2. I got my house done up by James Chew too, almost handover already, and will post some pictures when I am free. Anyway, I agree hes very accomodating, cuz my wife and I are very picky and often want to make changes. But he did not show even a slight hint of unpleasantness. Also, he is very responsible, and could almost reach him by phone even late at night. Overall, I am quite impressed by his project management skills as he is always able to get someone to do the additional stuff I want for me. Oh, and my mom loved the workmanship, praising him like crazy.
  3. Hi guys, been looking everywhere for a nice dressing table but seems like theres not much variety. Does anyone know any shops that have a larger range of dressing tables? Thanks!
  4. I also bought my stuff from Hommage: sofa, bed frame, dining set and shoe cabinet. Their prices are really attractive, but what made me buy my stuff from them is that the boss knows his stuff. Cant comment on quality as I have not received my items.
  5. Stumbled upon your thread, and my fiancee is fixated now to transform our original idea into another pinky town.. omg -.- But nice reno you done there! Very disney!
  6. I engaged James. After speaking to about 6-7 IDs, I have decided on the layout of my house, but he was able to give me some even better ideas which I did not think of myself. So your router will connect normally to internet via telephone line, and then plugged into the data point for the whole house to share? Thats kind of cool! Its like a built in router through the whole house. Thanks for the information =)
  7. Hi, congrats on your new house! Gonna start my reno myself, then I read in your t-blog on the part about data points when you did your electrical works. You mean we can install LAN points in our house now like in office? I thought we can only connect via telephone line. Sorry I am new to this could you explain how it works? Another thing, the 3700 you paid for electrical works included re-wiring? Just so happen I signed with SDS too so they dont include it in their quotation, so dont know how to estimate the rough cost for electrical works. Different ID but he gave me a good impression. Hope everything goes well for me too =)
