Hi nunu, cannot say you have been cheated lah. consider it as buying insurance for your tv ba... years back i bought a Hitachi plasma together with the safety5 at Best Denki, back then the plasma screen was over 10k i remembered, so i tot it was ok to pay a lil more for the safety5. but nowadays plasma tvs much cheaper...if spoil, get a new one ba... the safety5 also just pay u back a certain percentage as the years go by.... ultimately it's up to you whether u need the extended warranty or not

actually it's very rare that those big sewage pipes need repairing, stayed in HDB for decades and never needed to touch those big pipes. similarly never had any neighbours or hdb relatives needed to repair theirs. personally, i rather bear the extra cost of tearing up the box and rebuilding it for an event that may never happen during my period of occupancy, than to face the fat ugly pipes everyday staring right back at me and reminding me of my big waist as well haha just my personal view -
Hi Applefreak, yeah, the living room is really very very spacious.. on top of that, we have this pretty big area between the door and the living room, it was where my friends played Twister when they were here for chirstmas! Guess the huge area is also partly coz of the balcony extension. It makes a difference, coz when we were choosing the unit, we visited some of our neighbours' units, which didnt do the balcony extension. As for the EA units in our block, i think at least 50% have shifted in when i did my rounds in 2005.. not too sure on the situation recently though...

Hi kohsw88, what's your view on the Karcher one? Thanks!

Hi Applefreak, See that you level your balcony too... have you arranged for windows to be installed? raining these couple of days.. so you may not want the rain to get onto your newly laid tiles...

lookwise the pioneer is nice cos of the piano black gloss finish, i got the 427XG too.. but it isn't a true 1080p panel. If u really don't mind paying more, u can consider this Sony LCD KLV-40X200A, has better specs than the Pioneer one. My hb likes this but i don't like the look.

anyone tried the Karcher RC3000 before? http://www.karcher.sg/sg/Products/Private/...er/12691010.htm

glad that the blocks are repainted now. yup, that was a minus point as we went about selecting also, almost wanted to get anchorvale side as the flats there looked much newer and in better condition even though built around the same period. nonetheless, none of them had our kinda layout. very-unHDB-like dun you agree, 2 entrances/exit to the kitchen It's either u love it or u don't kinda layout. Had suggested to my frens to consider the units here as well but some just don't like the layout... hehe
