Spotlight sells the beans...
-
If you are looking for a solid study table that will last you forever, try getting a teak wood table from Leyon Collections at East Coast Road.
-
I'm not sure, but saw some there... they have samples of different colours to custom make.

What's the price range of an AIR bean bag?
-
this place has. www.lush-lush.com you're looking at leather cos easier to maintain is it?
-
I also dun understand why beanbags are so exp... it's just some cloth with some foam balls inside rite? 199 for a bean bag might as well buy a designer replica chair... i would also like a beanbag since they are comfy for large groups and when dun need can hide in another rm.

I got almost all my stuff from Poh Joo. Worked with Benjamin, the big boss' son.

actually i find my flat quite cool at night. since we moved in, haven't switched on the aircon in MBR many times. only switched on to prevent it from spoiling. our KDK ceiling fan on level 1 or 2 is enough already. sometimes on level 2 we still have to use comforter! Did you do any feature walls? We decided to save on that, since just one feature wall can be very exp. Also, carpentary seems to be where the IDs make the most profit, so we only did wardrobe and kitchen cabs (at factory cost). No like hidden storage false walls cum feature walls like that... maybe next time when we strike toto ahahhahaaha. -
hi! Which digicam is good for price range between 600-700 bucks? Not sure what models there are now in the market, so any advice from anyone who has bought a camera recently would be much appreciated! my requirements are simple. Just would like it to not be bulky and preferably with large screen. thanks!!

Yup. how can quality be better when the product and brand exactly the same, only the price different?!

reviving this interesting topic... I moved in recently... my immediate neighbours (mint green door) are always staying at their 'other' home. so v quiet and peaceful and clean.... the family staying directly opposite of our long long corridor (brown door) is quite quiet... sometimes their door is open, and the couple smiled at us once when they were coming out of their house and we were preparing to get out of our house. the final family (blue door) staying next to this opposite one also always closes their doors. we've only seen them once, and we kinda shyly smiled at them from a distance, and they stared at us quite interestingly (maybe thinking, orh so THESE are the culprits of the noise) and then just smiled a bit and went to the lift lobby (out of sight). i din apologise for the noise before the reno or attempt to bake them brownies since we moved in a few weeks ago... but they seem very private kind, will get shocked by us if we too friendly oso. think the problem is there are no kids... usually kids break the ice. so my place, very quiet, very clean (whole corridor NOTHING except some neglected looking aloe vera pots outside the blue door neighbours' house). guess in some ways good. in some ways not very warm feeling lah.

oic... $400 is ok lah. I thot $1300 shoe cabinet!! But seriously, I've seen adverts for shoe cabs that are 10 feet long! that's longer than wardrobe! oh that's interesting... yr house condition... that means when it was being rented all these years the people didn't have cabinets! actually worth it wat, cos mine got cabinets i also hacked and re-did. cos the cabinets are 18 years old, really cannot make it liao. u reno your toilets right? I'm sure u did flooring for that at least? I did flooring for kitchen and 2 toilets but the rest of the house floor tiles still in good condition, and the master bedroom had 6 month-old (new?) laminate flooring, so no need to change lor. -
What model is this? sounds too good to be trooo...

Haven't really heard much about this. I'm using Joven for Master BR, it's got the digital display of temperature. But somehow when you switch it on, it always gets very hot for 2 seconds before becoming ok. Anyone else has the same experience? My common toilet has a Tiger water heater. No digital display. Apparently cheaper version of a more well known brand line.
-
Yah I've heard about that... cos otherwise there'll be moisture / condensation and then the oven will spoil!!
-
Wow - sammiegirl u are so inspiring! I also got the Brandt 422... with the roasting spit thing too. heard that it's a good brand. Meyer and Ariston tends to have bad after sales service rep. just got married so haven't had time to use it yet... I'm still a baker in the making, totally starting out, so going to try the oven first with a betty crocker mix. i hope to use the oven more often otherwise it will spoil! after all the trouble of building it in, cannot spoil! aiming for once a month... maybe after i have more regular CG gatherings at my house then can operate it once a fortnight at least!! nothing beats the warm smells of oven baked cakes and food....

Any idea how heavy it is? heard those with water filters tend to be heavier and harder to move around. Very torn between getting cordless but low suction power VC for the convenience, or high power VC that will last for long time. dowan to get those cute but too small types that are easy to drag around but lousy at sucking. i dun have carpets so actually dun need very high voltage type... sigh

welcome to Simei! or maybe you've also been living here before? I used to live at St 4, now very happy to be living nearer mrt, heh. simei resale market is very hot... u must have been very fortunate to get a near to mrt unit too! i love my unit. wah your shoe cabinet must be Tok Kong... how come so expensive?? What are the dimensions? I was thinking of custom making but then thought maybe better to just buy ikea racks cos cheap and can expand anytime, haha. -

Hello! Great to see a fellow Simei-er... Phantom in the reno-blog circuit also lives in Simei.... which series do you stay at? I stay at the 12X series. V near MRT. Barang Barang SingPost branch just ended its sale yesterday. Bought dining chairs from them! -
Saw it in tangs but haven't heard much about it. Will prob go for Electrolux or Philips VC instead... any comments on VC from these two brands?

Hmm.... am thinking of getting a 8ft suspended console custom made for about 900. Got the free HTS from Samsung with the 32" LCD so realised the tall speakers actually look better with a tall console like the ones pictured here. But my living rm wall is quite long, and guess a longer console can put more stuff... decisions, decisions....

I think Lookz is overpriced. The same stuff selling for cheaper at Jalan Besar. The designs for taps etc might not be as wide-ranging, but for sinks etc, you won't be paying extra for the fancy interior decor @ lookz.

Hi everyone, Anyone has experience with GOOD carpenter? My reno was completed with an ID, but now looking to build in stuff like TV console and shoe cabinet. Went to ID for a quote since the previous carpentry work done was good. But cost is likely to be MUCH higher than if I just went to a carpenter (without ID). Most of the horror stories I've heard on the forum are about carpentry. So anyone had GOOD experience with their carpenter/contractor and would like to recommend? thanks in advance!!

Hihi! I like your coffee table! It's rotatable right? Is it also from furniture club? Can share how much it costs? thanks!!
