Hi, You may want to reconsider the ceiling fan with light kit which you have posted above. If that is not your only light source, it's alright.. Else, it will be a bit too dark.. As i've seen the light it's not very bright actually. For the WIW with full height glass, why not.. Someone in renotalk did it in her WIW, it's really nice..

Actually, i still can't get over the sink area.. As the initial plan was to have lower cabinet in wood colors, with black galaxy granite worktop.. It's changed with cream color.. Hopes when the black galaxy worktop is put up.. I wouldn't lament on it anymore..

Some updates: Carpentry is here. Well, i wasn't expecting carpentry to be up so fast, but it is.. And the carpenters are working even at 8pm, this is something i wasn't expecting as well. Not a lot of pictures taken, as the carpenters are working.. I'll take a visit at my house tomorrow to complete the photo taking.. As the carpenters are still doing the kitchen when we're there. So, not to disturb their work progress. Oh.. i forgot to mention.. The floor skirting are up.. Shoe cabinets. our high counter top table, where hb and i will be having meals at, so meaning no dinning table for the time being.. Our room, TV feature wall.. It's something simple.. Well.. for the kitchen, the carpenter called me the other day to tell me it will be the same color as the top cabinet, as he made a mistake.. I was a little disappointed, but well.. Since it is cream color, it will make our kitchen looks brighter then.. I guess hb will be very happy, as he prefer it this way.. I was going for 2 color tone initially.. I guess it should be alright as well then..

Maybe the below is similar, it could be pulled out too.. I've seen it in Poh Seng, about $190+, pozzi brand if i didn't remember wrongly. My hb got it from his supplier, of course at cost price.. So, the price is about there.. Another place to get it, is Sim Siang Choon, pull out sink mixer $185+, if i didn't remember wrongly .. I believe many other store has it too.. Do look around.. Of course, if you're looking for branded ones.. Price is at the branded range too..

Earlier in my MBR area, where there is supposed to have a tv feature wall to block the master bedroom toilet. The ceiling was supposed to have false ceiling instead of L box. Its altered. Also, the area under the living room window where the plaster cracked and popped was rectified. So, we're waiting for painting to go over it. the other day forgot to take picture of the lightings at the passage way. Also, there is a signage put up at the door, to ask the workers to take off their shoes when they are in the house, since our marble flooring has been polished. Lastly, the flooring skirting came!

I think re-do silicone no need to engage contractors to do it. You can do it on your own. You just need to buy the tool and the silicone tube. Good silicone tube about $7 to $8. While, tool about $4 for cheaper ones and better ones $16. This pricing is from those industrial hardware shop, from those home fix it will be more expensive, may be $1 to $5 difference.

Oh, and the other day we went, and saw that under our balcony window, there is a portion poped up. Think the workers forgot to close the windows and left, during the plastering period. Hence, now the effect shown, and just call contractor on this matter as i kept forgetting. And he told me it is rectified. Will ask hb to walk over to have a look to ensure. As below.

Actually to change the light fixture its really very simple. Another option is buy floor lamp. It will bright up your house a little more, without having to change the light fixture...

Storeroom light MBR study cum wardrobe area lights, when down light is switched off. Its much prettier in actual, as my camera flash wasn't turned off. When down lights are switched on. MBR sleeping area cum the TV feature wall Oh, and i realized we got 2 way switch done by the subcon or requested by my contractor. Well, i never asked but I guess it is great. I did thought of it, but kept forgotten to speak to my contractor. In the end, it was done without me requesting. So nice of them. To tell the truth, i was really happy to see that our house is filled with lights..

Let there be light, and we have lights, FINALLY!! ok, for our track light, we have one lesser bulb as we will be buy LED bulbs for them. i wanted some warm lights, but hb wants them white, but we will be replacing some with warm lights. Hi colour, yup, i engaged his service. Alan is a little forgetful, so i tend to remind him on how i want things to be. Even when it is done wrongly or missed out, he will make amendments without any complaints and no additional charges on top of our signed contracts. I'm fine with him, but for some felt that he is a little too quiet or no updates, and i do know some that will meet him once every 2 weeks on progress discussion or view on the things done. So it depends on what is your expectation. His subcon workmanship imo is pretty good. I think in renovation hiccups is unavoidable, but his attitude is what i'm looking for. I do not have to argue with him over small things or amendments. And he does provide me opinions at times, when i do not know which to choose he will provide suggestions for me to ponder over. You see, i hate people to put their ideas or opinion into me. They can suggest but not insist, because i felt its my house. It got to do with personal preference, what seems good to you, may not seems good to me. Perhaps for your case, you may want to meet him up and discuss with him and see if you feel alright to engage his service. i think the most important is that are you comfortable to let him have your project and let him handle it. Its kinda subjective though. Hope that you will find the right person to do up your place!

And in the MBR toilet aircon trunking. This is the part i'm not happy with, i have told hb many times that we are NOT having carpentry in the toilets. After seeing in, i'm flaming with fire, cause i need to work and not free and i have told him no carpentry in toilet many many many times. And i have no idea if he has 16mb of memory space in his brain or what. Really angry lo.. And so he told the guy to give some space for carpentry instead of aligned to the left. Now i'm going to decide if i should call Aron and ask if his staff could make the change. Then again, i'm afraid there might be holes on my wall tiles. In dilemma.. Oh.. And this is the earth tone colored wall. And the marble floor has one layer of white powdery stuff. not sure what it is, but i guess it's to prepare the floor for polishing. And these are the lighting fixtures. According to contractor, light installation will happen this week or next.

Lastly MBR aircon trunking

We engaged Imperial Distributors for our air con installation and purchases. Of course, i liaise with Aron for this purchase to happen. So today is the installation of pipes. I can say i'm pretty satisfied, but just a little unhappy that my hb gave the wrong instruction. So, these few days i'm going to decide if i should call aron to adjust that part. Living room aircon piping and realized this wall was painted and i really liked this color. Anf i happened to see that the marble polishing machines came. As my contractor mentioned that polishing will happen this week. Study room aircon piping. And the next room's aircon piping. For this there's no choice but to see the trunking.

We choose the glossy one. As hubby likes glossy surface a lot more. And since our kitchen will be a little dark, so we decided on glossy surface. Any cons on this?

Kitchen counter top surface will be having black galaxy granite. My contractor's car is his mobile storage. He has all the samples in his car booth. We're going to have a counter top table at our living area, that will serve as our dinning table for the time being as there are just the 2 or us. For the counter top table, we will use solid surface rather then black galaxy. It will be cream galaxy, i have no idea why did i kept remember vanilla as my choice. Perhaps, that's my choice but due to the vote of 2(hb and mum) against 1. I took cream galaxy. And for my MBR vanity solid surface, i choose garlic, which goes with my wall tiles.

And today met up with contractor and carpenter to choose laminates. I actually decided to use a combination of Sandstone and antique white for my shoe cabinet. Now, i'm have second thoughts of having sandstone but with Champagne. Any suggestions? And for kitchen cabinet, for the bottom cabinet. Light Urban teak. Top kitchen cabinet. It will be color near to ivoor gem. Forgot to take pic of the actual one that i choose.

Updates: Painting has started. Painting for the main wooden door Its sunday and the workers are doing painting work as well. We choose cream color the walls of the whole house. And only 2 area with darker tone that is earth tone.

Your quote does not include electrical wiring and lights installation. And is there any need for false ceiling, cove light or L box?
