Hi, It can be due to a lot of possibilities, as we know that in feng shui we need to look at the cosmic of trinity which is your heaven luck, earth luck and man luck. So anything can happen, it may be due to either or all the above. It is good to check on your destiny or heaven luck before proceeding to the earth luck which is your house feng shui.

IMO, its all depend of what you looking for. If you need to reflect your dinning room to looks bigger than it is fine but it is important to consider the house feng shui before the installation. You need to check on the followings: 1. Does it reflect your maindoor, kitchen door and bathroom door and also is there any unpleasant view in your external environment that can be reflected into the mirror. 2. Is your dinning room sitting on good sector using the 8 Mansions, the flying stars theory or even other theory. We do not want to expand the bad sector. Some people believe that it could cause distraction while eating your food because we love to look at ourself whenever there is a mirror in-front of us.
