Agree that plasma give the best picture quality and best if tv made in Japan which is y I placed order for the panny. However on the thought that the LG picture quality is also quite good and future more lower maintenance on the 3d glasses. Should the glasses fail, it is cheaper and easier to replace. For active 3d glasses, different models have different shutter rate, if the glasses were to be damaged or spoil, we might not be able tobget something compatible in future.

3d avatar is exclusive for panny 3d tv customers. Was trying out LG 3d cinema tv, the new range. Price is good. Spectacles same as those used in cinema, therefore cheap to replace. I am thinking of approaching best denki to change my order from panny 58 inch to LG 55 inch & 42 inch. Wonder if they will allow. Reason being, LG is LED, lower energy consumed, thinner, cheaper and lighter 3d glasses to replace. But have to for go the 3d avatar movie.... So sad...

Actually I did not really hack off anything much. This is one of the most original HDB flat you can find in this area. The whole house not renovated at all. Everything in the house is either build by HDB (e.g. Toilet and kitchen tiles) or buy off the shelf. Even the flooring is just plain cement screed which has started to crack here and there over the years. This is one of the reason I picked this flat, it is as good as getting a new flat, strat everything from scratch with minimal hacking of old stuff.

IMO, please also put into consideration how often you cook. Getting a gas hob is the cheapest alternative. I got myself a vitro ceramic hob cos most of my pot are correll ceramic. Cannot work on induction. I have seen demos before, induction and vitro ceramic heats up faster as compared to gas stove. Given the beauty of it plus I dun cook often, I skipped my plan on a gas hob.

Finally officially begin Reno this week. All old room doors, toilet bowls, basin etc removed. Kitchen wall and floor hacked. Latest progress for today, the water proofing put up to get ready for tiling.

If there is no other choice, looks like we got to stick to the traditional way of padlocking our gate. End up still have to bring house key. Look at it on the bright side. While you might have completed serving your loan, I am still struggling to clear it. Lucky for us the new upcoming Dawson Sky Terrace did not block our view. Have to get everything ready in advance, I need to move in by August. Only 4-5 weeks to complete my reno. As you can see, everything to start from scratch as the house has nothing usable in it. However, being optimistic, I dun have to incur extra cost and rebuild anything, thus cutting time and money spent on reno. Reno will have to start asap, already sent to HDB for approval to hack of one of the kitchen wall. Measurements for the furniture and flooring taken today. Tomorrow will begin with removing whatever that is left of the kitchen cabinet and all the wiring.
