  1. HELP! HELP! HELP! Decided to be adventurous and selected dark paints (Nippon Galaxy and Nippon Sandstone) for my bedroom to create that cozy bedroom theme. Just saw the painted walls and got a shock of my life! Too dark! Any ideas or suggestions to help remedy the situation without having to repaint? Tks.
  2. Hi everyone, I'm gonna move house soon. The buyer has requested to vacate everything, but I'm only intending to move a few things to my new home. I have a few questions: - Some of the items are still useful (e.g. fridge, washing machine, sofa, fans, etc.). I'm wondering if there are charity organisations interested in collecting these. Any recommendations on which agency to contact? - For the rest of the things that the charity organisations don't want, is there a cheap way to get rid of them? Any contacts? Thanks for your help.
  3. $350k reno??!! Your house a bungalow?
  4. Hey I've been looking for such a small sink. Mind sharing where to get it?
  5. Hi does anyone know if a contractor/ID says that they will supply tiles at up to $3 p.s.f, is this amount inclusive of GST? Cos some of the tile suppliers quote the tile price with and without GST. Tks.
  6. I think is a bit too expensive. Do laminated flooring no need to hack existing tiles. Just need to hack and redo the skirtings. So what the contractor will do is hack the skirtings and overlay the laminates over the existing tiles. Hacking skirtings - maybe at most $500 Laminate flooring for living+2br - at most $2500? Painting living+2br - at most $1000 So at most the job shd cost $4000, which is alr a very generous amt. Despicable contractors like this always like to treat old folks like carrot head. If can withdraw... better do it fast.
  7. Hey folks I'm looking for a very basic full renovation of resale unit. Pls PM me. Tks!!
  8. Hi folks, new here. Just purchased a 4-rm resale flat. Would like to do some simple reno of the whole flat, nothing fanciful, just want a place that is comfortable to stay in. I have conflicting advise from friends. Some say since I just want some simple standard reno, just go direct to contractor to save on the ID fees. Others say that since it is just simple reno, engaging an ID will not cost much more as ID will usually get better rates from contractors. Any advice on which route I should take? I should also add that I have a very short time frame of 1 mth for renovation once I collect the keys. This is because I have a specific date to move out from my current place. Tks for any help.
