Give you an idea... dont use bedside table. install a small shelf on top of your headboard, mounted at about 140cm from floor, install 2 X double gang power socket under this small shelf, 1 each for LED lamp and the other for charging iPhone. -

Best buy 白花蛇草水 for them. -
You have the money lah... cos you use an interior designer while i can only afford to use contractors. I went to your t-blog and was surprise to see that you hack your own wardrobe. Usually the sub con that handles the hacking, clearing of debris, carry the tiles, sand and cements to your unit belong to a group and they quote your ID a lump sum for the job, regardless whether you hack the build-in wardrobe yourself or not. As for my reno, i was quoted by sky creation for 60k and quoted by rezt & relax for 70k and their quality and their materials cannot match my standard.

Usually for this kind of small retail shop, they dont have any aftersales service, is not the mixer comes with a 1 year warranty and asking the shop to go to your house to take a look is too much. If the mixer was bought and upon installation discovered the fault, the owner should get the plumber to remove the mixer and bring it to the shop to exchange. I also bought bathroom accessories from them, check the stuffs, pay and go. If got problem upon installation, will bring back to shop for exchange. If install for few months and fault surfaced, i can only lan lan suck my thumb.

Contractors are usually the most busiest group of people in reno, all if not most of them will not be able to entertain you by bring you around to view their workmanship, that is the job for Interior Designer. -
LOL... love your logic. The most beautiful things dont need much cleaning, it is usually the ugly (or lousy) one that does. I want to use Quartz tile for flooring... anti-bacteria, dont stain, wont melt, very tough (diamond hardness is 10; Quartz is 7), scratch proof, wont chip, wont crack but my wife rather use the money to buy more bags and shoes.
-
Ya lor... the $4 psf homogeneous tile (600X600) i chose will end up better than the $12 psf crystallized glass tile (900X900) i gave up, what kind of logic is that?

Betty no supernatural power... she is a special designer breed, her breeder told us that she is a Pomsilk (crossed between Silky Terrier & Pomeranian) but she look more like a Silktese (crossed between Silky Terrier & Maltese) to us.
-
You people sure drop your jaw wide wide if i tell you till now i still dont have the quotation for my reno. When i went to White Horse to select my tiles, i was so tempted to select the $12 psf crystallized glass for my living & bedroom flooring, my wife stopped me... ended up picking the $4 psf glazed white homogeneous tiles. Same dog, younger at 1 year old.

Chemical wash = acid wash... it is just another name! Unless your tiles are machine printed... please check with the tiles shop you bought your tiles from.
-
No worries about bed bugs cos we will acid wash the whole house at end of reno.
-
Be prepare to drop your jaw when you see my kitchen cabinet! I intend to bath my dog in the kitchen sink and dry her on the preparation counter. I think she would love to zzZZz on the preparation counter cos it is using the very cooling quartz. Meet my bao bei, Betty.

Yes... you can try Google on "stainless steel sink rusted". Those branded sink manufacturers usually add nickel into the stainless steel in order to make it rust proof, the higher the nickel content, the more expensive the sink. I believe i read somewhere in the RT that someone months old stainless steel sink starts to rust.
-
very sure... we sprinkled a packet of "enchanted" salt into the whole place when we got the key. See the jia lat condition for yourself
-
If the stainless steel for sink is lousy quality and start to rust after a few months... those using undermount sink would need to hack away the solid top in order to replace the sink below. I cook and i wash too, how cabinet can get wet if the sink is mounted from top (inset)?

I saw it at Heritage Bathroom Gallery at 718 Geylang Road; available in 2 sizes for the connecting water pipe, best check the correct one with your plumber.
-
NeoBY, can you confirm that the internal finishing of your kitchen cabinet is white pvc? Mind sharing how much is the quote for the kitchen cabinet + solid top? The sink size is quite big (800mm X 500mm?), right? If it is smaller you can mount both way, undermount or inset. Worry for you, undermount got a major disadvantage; if something happen to the sink, there is no way to change the sink without hacking away the solid top. My kitchen cabinet looks fairly similar to the one in the below picture, minus the handle bars on the drawers and the L shape for sink; internal finishing is light wood grain.

They are call Vinyl tiles; 100% waterproof but water may sip in through the edge. You can glue the edge when laying them so they really become water proof but that doesn't mean you can pour water freely over them.
