  1. The metal gate was changed last week...
  2. Haven't been updating for over a week. That's because we are still taking time to tidy up the place, which I think should be about 90% now. Supreme Flooring guys came yesterday to replace 3 areas of badly scratched laminates which occurred during house moving. How much you may ask? 300 bucks! Ouch! Nowadays, everytime I hear something dropped on the floor, I will bolt out to check what dropped and give a scolding to whoever who did it... hahaha....
  3. Need to open up the cabinets to air it as well. I for one, is very sensitive to the adhesive used for the laminates. My eyes will tear up quickly but the rest of my family seems to be more tolerant to it.
  4. I would suggest you stick to this color of the door. I'm not so confident if you paint gray paint over it, the paint would stick. Somehow paints on wood are hard to stick. Whereas the current paint is actually a varnish which peeling will never happen.
  5. This door is exactly what I am using.... Fit's our color scheme....
  6. 1800 for 5I is indeed expensive. Mine is 1500 for 5A, from ID also. 5 color excluding white. Anyway, sometimes if you get an ID/Contractor, you have to see the whole sum.... Got overall discount or not and also whether some other items very cheap or not. Sometimes are expensive here and cheap there. Got to give and take. If you really want everything cheap then you will have to engage one by one separately and manage it yourself.
  7. 2 to provide 12 no of lighting points and labour charge to install 12 PLC lights 600.00 The above sounds reasonable but additional item electrical price is expensive.... 1 x 13a single socket $ 50 each <== This is expensive 2 x 13 a socket $ 55 each <=== This is reasonable SCV point $ 120 each <=== This is on the high side tel point $ 55 each <=== Dunno.... lighting points $ 40 each <=== Does it include installation If not, this is expensive
  8. Hi gkbt, Thanks for your reply! Haven't got a chance to take some pix of my piping stuff to show you. Will show you soon!
  9. Granite top is not exactly that cheap oso wat.... It was 120 pfr... 5 buck diff nia...
  10. Did a check on their website, not bad hor! The surface looks exactly like my dining table top except that mine looks like iWheat. Nbz... Cyrus bo kai siao....
  11. Wah, how much for the quartz top? At least 200 pfr? I only have quartz top for the dining table.... heh...
  12. I was quoted 180 pfr for aluminium frame with glass door for the kitchen cabinet. Initially wanted to do all top and bottom cabinet but latest drop to top cabinet only and finally drop it altogether as I need to reallocate the money elsewhere for other stuff.... Cyrus KPKBed hahaha... Edit: Oh, you guy are talking about wardrobe cabinet huh.... My colleague wanted to do also, but was quoted almost double pfr....
  13. Hahahaha... yea laa... this laminate gave me a heart attack when it first arrive. I thought it was dirty. Use finger and saliva to rub and rub but can't come off... However, once it is fixed up, not too bad....
  14. Yup... Friday, I have moved all my delicate computer stuff and our hangup clothings Saturday afternoon, just about to move, it started pouring heavily. So delayed a little but end up could only move 1 load as it is already late Sunday morning another load but could not load the plants and some other stuff. So, the plants I have to move myself. Also because the moving was separated into 2 days, kena additional 100.
  15. Also, some of the old furnitures did not have a proper padded legs and end up 2 bad scratches on the laminate flooring. Will ask the laminate guys to change those affected laminates once the unpacking is done. Luckily these scratches are near the corners, so there will be easier to change.
  16. 2 trips not enough! End up I have to carry quite a lot of stuff by myself. Their service is not bad, but for the amount of stuff, I should have gotten the movers which gave me a fixed price to move all rather than per load basis.
  17. Haven't been updating for a few days. We are still unpacking our stuffs. Really have lots of junks that ought to be thrown away, but staying with old folks, it's tough to do so. Everything also want to keep.... Cellini guys came over to swap to chipped off dining table yesterday. Looks good now. Also, the the iron gate is already changed. Will upload more pix when the house is tidy....
  18. Don't quite understand your question here... As in brand? Its a hager brand. The rest of the switches is Legrand.
  19. Hi gkbt, Can you recommend any plumber who are good in fixing pipings for water filters? My problem is this... I have an old Elken biopure water filter which my parent have been using. We took over this unit and in preparation for this, I have drilled a hole at the granite sink as I was thinking of fixing an L-shape join which I thought could join to the flexible white tube to the water filter. Underneath the sink, L-shape join will connect to the water pipe which I already added a T-join to allow such connection. We asked the Elken guys to come and fix initially but they say they don't have such L-shape join and they wanted to drill a hold on our kitchen granite top which I thought is crazy. So, not I'm stuck with a hole on the granite sink and an unfixed water filter.
  20. Must specify what size you want.... range can be from 100m to 600+m
  21. I have test-use it at my old place for a month before buying more. So far so good. As what muska said, after some time, the join may crack after using it for a long time but since it's only RM39.90 (with redemption coupon), I don't mind changing it again when it is spoiled.
  22. Yea, furnitures here liao but the quartz top table had a broken edge. They will replace it with another table top soon. Will be chasing them like mad, hehe.... Anyway, will post new pix when the place it tidy up. Now super messy. Past 3 days of moving has been back breaking.... So many rubbish which we have not thrown away... Stay with old ppl like that one lor....
  23. Does anyone know where to buy those long trip L-shaped wall corner protector? Been looking around at homefix and neighbourhood hardware shop but don't have. They do have those soft plastic type but it is sold in a coil and it's tough to straighten even I have tried using hair dryer to blow it hot.

    Curtains Help

The rollers mechanism and materials are just like the ones used in my office, which already has been around for at least 7 years. Doesn't feel flimsy at all. My only problem now is that when the wind from outside or the fan blow, there will be clanging sound. Will need to stick round plastic stud, hopefully can reduce the noise.
  25. In term of looks, fanco. Reliability wise, I suppose either is fine, though I'm leaning towards KDK. There are only 2 choice for KDK fan if you are living in HDB. The baby fan and the 4-leaf 56 inch fan
