My wife is at Gain City Expo sales now, Mit inverter sys 3 is going for 2829 with 5 years parts warranty and 3 years on workmanship. In fact our uncle reno already recommended his friend to us at 2800 but we did not confirm. So I told my wife to give our "beloved uncle" a call and the uncle keep complaining about Gain City and when my wife ask him what insulation pipes he uses, he seems like speechless just say is good one good one good one..... The worst is that he sounds like threathening my wife saying that if we buy from Gain City, he can't coordinate the installation for us. Have some arguements with them and finally I just decided to try somebody else. So because of this, I found out of another shipping agent call Hoyoyo. For air shipment, RMB45 per 1st kg and RMB28 per subsequent kg, and they charge based on actual weight not volumetric, somemore deliver direct to your address in Singapore. Sea shipment even cheaper, to those who are buying a lot from China, 0.5cbm only at RMB630. As compare to 65, 0.5cbm by sea is already $300 over plus the 8% agent fee. Hoyoyo did not charge agent fee, so make it more competitive. Disclaimer: Have not tried using Hoyoyo to ship things from China.

Anotherthing I really not that happy is that the uncle keep asking for $$, our job is like $16k and so far we already paid him $6k, and he is asking for another $5k when we pass him the house key. I know it is not really a big sum and moreover he don't earn a lot from small job like ours. But but, I will only pay him another $5k once the tiling works is half way thru. In my opinion, parquet requires more maintenance than laminates. Reason being for parquet, the colour will fade years later, easy to get scratches than laminate, and need to polish or vanish after number of years. While there are still parquet lover because of the solid feel and the fact that it did last longer (if you maintain well). For me I am going for laminate, with the anticipation to change it after 10 years.

I am a low standard one, for me I probably just move it and maybe just change the W/C basin and relaminate the kitchen cabinet and painting.

In fact we saw a Mit fridge MRV45C priced at $799 at Courts (is there big brand price slash promotion...) and I called Everjoint to get comparison, guess what, > $798, and yet the guy over the phone told me that we can get better bargain if we visit their store. Accordingy to the Everjoint guy, they give free delivery and accepts DBS 0% 12-month instalment. So I definitely going to take a look, is at Blk159 AMK.
