My MBR that is repainted on sat.. I love the colours. My hubby says that it has a hotel feel. New lighting points. Dining lights up. Left by previous owner. Change the light bulbs to energy saving one. Until now... carpentry work will be all up by end of this week, as promised by Ah keong.

I also hope that i will be out of that list soon..

great colour choice. Now your kitchen looks big and spacious.

thanks.. but sad to say.. mine is not even till 50% yet.. left all carpentry works.. hopefully no more delays..

I guess more or less that pricing eh. I asked Ximula before also. They say range around 1k - 1.5k. I also very eager to see the finished work. don't sound so sad leh. i know is all about spending money eh. Spending money is always very fast and earning is always very slow.

that's great! What will you be doing?? Tearing down the whole place?? !! Just now went to my house to drop off the light bulbs. They repainted my MBR. Very happy sia. I just love the colours. Never bring camera, so no pictures. Something to brighted up my mood, after a long day of work.

Welcome. Ho Bee is more of a main contractor. 2 main guys in-charged, Patrick and Ah keong. But they have alot of experiences on reno. So they even can advise you on some basic designs. So far, I feel that they are very responsible. No complains to them till now. Do visit this thread http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2131 to get to know more about them.

Meet up with patrick this afternoon to discuss about the lightings and decided to do cove lightings that area. More money is spent. He charge me $400 for the false ceiling and the lighting points. Call me vain hopefully, this money is well spent. This is the part that i will be doing cove lightings. The fan will shift a little to minimise the shadow effect. My platfrom is up. Now drying in progress. Also went to shop for dining table. Finally, settle down for 1 set. Damage $1200+. No picture yet. Will take it when it arrive. Today is money spending day. Haiz, our resources are running pretty dry now.

i see.. nvm then... i shall go other places to hunt for it..

I bought it from S'pore lightings. I think is around $60-$70. I can't rem the price liao. The receipt is with my hubby.

I guess you are right. I even thought of thinking having a false celling - one side do cove lightings, below put 2 down lights. I called patrick just now. He went to dentist this morning, to remove wisdom tooth. Having difficulty to tok. I told him about the problem and wish to meet him tonite. Now waiting for his answer. thanks. my parents dun like us to play mahjong at home... so.. now have to mahjong room to make up my loss.. hehe..

You mean by placing spot lights that what i did at my tv console area? Will it look weird?
-
Thanks sunboi80. Will ask patrick for suggestions. I guess I din tot about the dark area when defining the lighting points. The 2 lighting points each has it own use. Now I am panick about it. I now wondering should I do Lbox with cove lights or down lights. Standing lamps does not seems to really solve the problems also.

Need help from forumers on how to brighten up my living area. The lights we bought does not seems to brighten up the place. Now we are pretty upset about it. Cracking our brains on how to solve this problem. This are the main lighting points of our house. The circle part is the dark area.

wow.. very nice colours. your house looks bright!

The washer and fridge base is done up. Patrick told me that possible hand over time is around 25th of Apr. This means that my reno took almost 3 weeks to complete. My platform so far only the skelaton was done up, tml they will lay the parquet over. It will took 1 week for it to dry up. Carpentry will on start on next wed onwards.
-
I am also looking for the tray that collects water... I wonder if is standard size??
-
I think is more of the lighting postion than the bulbs problem. If I got time, will draw out where are my lightings. Then will know where is the dark area. thanks. Hopefully it does not look too fanciful.
-
no.. i mean my current light bulbs and the position I place my lightings.. just called patrick, to tell him that hopefully they can finish up the work and hand over by next wkend, either 21st or 22nd.

Thanks for sharing with me. !! Haiz. I realised that the lights does not seems to brighten up the area, especially living area. !! now feeling very upset.
