Hehe ... Our house was so lucky to be featured in decomyplace, this website is a great place to get reno ideas. We have done some simple interviews by the editor, finally see the outcome.

This was another DIY project we have done few months ago and now only have time to post it in my blog (more photos to check this post). The DIY works were done in playroom during September timeframe; the works including self paste the wallpaper to one of the wall, install the cafe curtains for all the windows, and setup some lightings for studio photography purpose. The exterior view of playroom from living room, I really loved the cafe curtains I bought online. The overall look of the exterior of playroom. The words on the top supposed to be “ZAKKA” but there is no space to put another “K” .. so it become “ZAKA” I also decor the top with some of the zakka stuffs I bought online, it hasn’t achieved the zakka looks that I wished but almost there already … And this is the wall that we have pasted the wallpaper. I bought the wallpaper online and luckily it fit the theme I wanted. The corner to put some of my favourite books … Some of the antique cameras I bought from Seoul, one of it still in working condition.

Finally, I have captured the chevron cushion covers we sew .. it has been many months since we completed the craft sewing project. I placed the order in fabric.com for the grey chevron fabrics during their 70% promotion and thanks to my sister in law help to carry them from US back to Singapore. I managed to save the shipping cost ~ I love the chevron prints and how they matched with our L-shape sofar color. The other two cushions were bought from Typo which costed about $5 during their promotion period, it was a steal to get $5 for a cushion with nice printing colors. We have been stayed for a year and the sofa was still very comfortable. I like it because the L-shape managed to fit 2 of us and both of us can laid our legs straight comfortably. Next project will use yellow chevron printing to sew the cushion covers, yellow really matched well with grey color. More photos to check my blog post here .

This was the first Christmas Decor I done for our home, previously I never do any decors for our first home in Bedok even though we have been stayed there for 5 years. Last year Christmas although we already moved into this new place, I also had no chances to do any decor because my tummy was so big during that time (baby born just 2 days after the Christmas). This year I just did a simple decor ~ I bought all the christmas decors from Daiso and total costed me for 10 bucks. For the entrance, I hang a simple artificial wreath on the door - 2 bucks. Put some hanging decors on the key shelf, the hanging decors come in a set and cost total 2 bucks. Also put one on the pot where we put our tv remote controller - previously the tv remote controllers were just put inside Ikea remote control pocket beside the sofa and baby like to take them out and play, so we have to switch the places to put our tv remote controllers. I also bought a big christmas sock and put baby photo on the front pocket, it also costed 2 bucks. The last Christmas decor I bought from Daiso was the small Christmas tree which costed me for 4 bucks and I placed it on the sound system.

Thanks ~ Over the last weekend, we spent some time to sew this set of crib sheet set for our baby including crib sheet + quilt cover + pillow case. The fabric was come from the queen size bedsheet I bought from Aussino, I like the color and design very much ~ The fabric material is not enough to do the front and back side of quilt cover, so I used another fabric (the white background with black letters quilt cover set from Ikea) to sew the back side of quilt cover. Now this quilt cover have 2 designs (one side is Aussino fabric and another side is Ikea fabric), and I planned to sew another crib sheet set using this Ikea fabric. Then our baby will have 2 sets of crib sheet sets : ) The full picture of baby cot with this new handmade crib sheet set (before adding the bumpers) : Our baby seems to like the crib sheet set we sew for her ~

Finally made the 2013 desktop calendar with my baby pictures ~ took for such a long time because I wanted to collect more pictures especially her recent photos. The big calendar is for myself while the small calendar is for Kenji I am going to put it on my office desk ~

Have been cooked dinner for everyday .. Over past few weeks, we also have started the journey to learn baking ~ Brownie mini strawberry tart My husband also prepared a brunch during weekend ~

Coz I think it is messy We didn't specify which white we want, we just told the contractor that we want white color ... and the contractor was not good, he used those cheap brands for the paints - not nippon and not dulex, quite upset with him. He quoted us 1.8k for paint but didn't use branded paints.

I used photoshop to design those album photobooks ... sometime groupon or deals have discount for the photobook, check it out ~ Price vary with different size of photobooks, range from 80sgd I guess. Wish to pay a visit to this shop when have chance ~ seems to have many interesting stuff. The shop owner is a mediacorp actress or? Hmm ... interesting. May be need to take leave now, coz have bb very difficult to travel around without helper at home

I didn't post much pictures in my t-blog, more pics can refer to my blog. Main reason was because the study room was still quite messy, especially my husband workplace - he very lazy to tidy it. So I also didn't take much pictures ... View from master bedroom to the study room - we hacked away the wall and built a bi-fold door at the entrance to study room. Behind the study table was the bookshelves and cabinets. Overview of the study room : We sealed up the wall from kitchen (the wall with guitars hanging) and opened the wall from our master bedroom. We asked the carpentrer to fabricate a simple L-shape study table and a bookshelf with cabinets. One side was for my husband and another one was for myself
