Yes, glossy finishing for the kitchen cabinet and matt finishing for bay window and study room cabinets. So far the matt finishing cabinet still maintained white ... it definitely will collect dust from time to time, and I guess it applied for all kinds of cabinets? You can get the sponge from Daiso to clean the stain on cabinets. Hope this helps.

My husband was the one doing it. I remembered he used the steels to fix the basic and then used the woods to cover and then painted it with white paint. After that, is to installed the cove lights. Details wise I will have to check with him.

Updates of our kitchen after 2.5 years of staying ... check out this link for more details. Well, we have added some new pieces for the counter-bar. I tried to add some decoration pieces such as flowers and plants to make the milk powder container looked nicer. My final goal of this counter-bar is to make it same height with the kitchen counter-top which will look like a kitchen island. With helper around, we cooked almost everyday. Our daily breakfast are breads with eggs and our eggs run out very fast. Those eggs looked happier to sit on the 2-tiers serving stand from IKEA, aren’t them?

So far so good le ... coz it is glossy finishing. Not issue on white laminate.

Hi clownprince, sorry for late reply ... The cloud cushions were bought from taobao online ... Yes, I have been looking for cloud cushions for quite sometime too and these were not as expensive as those branded type. Thanks ~

Nice wall and kitchen ! I love the subway tiles .. but too bad, my husband didn't like it. I also used kompactop for my kitchen ... have stayed with it for more than 2 years, cooked everyday and so far so good, no complaint ! But I was thinking to change my kitchen layout .. thought of remove the counter-bar and changed to island style .. still looking for inspiration and ideas.

For us, we also have a wall facing the main door and we just used that wall for shoes cabinet. Something like this, the main door is the one at right corner :

I agreed that it'd trap dust. We installed both cove lights and down lights in our place ... we love cove lights better. Btw, it is also possible to make your own L-box and cove light by DIY ... my husband made one for our room and all the materials cost us less than 100 bucks.

We just revamp our living hall to add a fresh new feel for the New Year ~ We got this 4-drawer dresser to keep the children new clothes and our crafting tools but now it also served as a sideboard in living hall. There are many ways to style the sideboard so that it doesn’t look bored ... However, we are not expert in this area and we just wanted to have something functional yet stylish. At the end, we have a few decorative peices placed on the sideboard to shake up the look. Check out the post for more details ...

Have been long time didn't come to renotalk, ever since I pregnant with my second baby It's time to update some changes in our house ... Second baby delivered last September and we also moved our first girl to my sister bedroom. Currently they are sharing the same room .. My girl really like the room we done for her, always brought our friends to visit her new bedroom. While planning for her new room, we were looking for the suitable bed for her and finally we found one ~ the Kura bed from Ikea. I choose bunk bed because it saved a lot of spaces compared to two single beds. We bought some extra LED lights during the Christmas season, my husband used them to decorate her bunk bed. I also used the tissue pom pom to decorate the corner of the bunk bed, they were being used during her two years old birthday party. Check out this post for more pictures and details.
