These are the reasons why I decided not to exercise my option.

I made an unusual decision. I decided not to exercise my option for my 5 room flat and instead optioned another 4 room flat in the same vicinity. Although the 5 room is a good bargain at $381K Vs the 4 room at $363K. I decided not to get the 5 room( my third choice) mainly for 2 reasons. 1. My left, right and front neighbour are hanging all their clothing along the corridor, I just can't get myself facing such environment every day. 2. This spacious 12 year old 5 room does not have a laundry yard, It very inconvenient when my wife wants to do her heavy cooking. My first choice flat was asking $30K ($410K) above the market price and my second choice( withdrew from the market) when I sign up for this 5 room flat. 2 weeks after the options, my second choice (4 room) came back to the market, This time the price was better and the deal was done. I love this 4 room layout, the view and most important it has a laundry yard! The space is a bit tight but with only 3 of us, I can make do with it. Wanted to upload some photos, but I don't know why can't. Here is my 4 room flat floor plan And yes, it has a baywindow!

I was 50/50 but my boss doesn't fancy a bay window, so will drop the idea and go for a more practical daybed placing over the window instead. Which should I chose ? Might go for the crazy idea of the round one!

The current condition of my house Yes condition is quite good. Thought of just do spray paint on the toilet tiles instead hacking all. To do this bay window will cost me $5K+ Not sure should I do it?

I have a mortgage insurance on this current property. When I sell and upgrade to another property. Can I still keep my current mortgage insurance?

My current kitchen is white and beige. It's not so difficult to clean, get the grossy type it should be OK.
