  3. kim, it's so easy to sell u stuff ...
  4. My new clock from TB, to replace the previous faulty one...this one is a cheong version of the famous Swiss Railway clock... So far, it's been pretty accurate and is really quiet...must find time this weekend to hang it up... The coasters on the top right of the picture above, closeup here...they are bigger than normal and the cute pictures are cool ! in case someone asks, the door stopper link can be found somewhere earlier in kim's blog... tihs is pretty much it for the time-being from TB for me...
  5. still need a linux box to run vortexbox - only automates the ripping mostly, which i can do with my notebook...play, i can either do it via my NAS or my existing netbook...no need so many pieces of equipment lah...
  6. Think your question was about an error message in the system - you can go direct to the courier company's website to check on the status of the delivery...probably TB's connection to their system was faulty... your other question was : Do i have to wait till (1) ALL my stuff arrive in China warehouse then ask May to delivery or (2) ask her to delivery those that already in the warehouse? option 1 - otherwise you pay the $110 the number of times your delivery gets split... your 3rd question was : Will you update TB system that the item have been received..example : May cmf received in 1) China warehouse or 2) when the item reach SG, you received then update and review? Which one? i usually update on case 1 cos the time between it reaching the warehouse and reaching SG could be very long...firstly, there's an automatic period after which the system will auto confirm (varies, dependent on what the seller sets), secondly, it's not very nice/fair to hold up the payment to the vendor as some of them can be quite small and cash flow for them is tight... review can always be done later...
  7. no lah, 1 piece very sweet mah ... u one bite, i one bite ... :notti:
  8. depends on what you're going to buy from them...tmall shops are in general ok...
  9. no lah, never said WMF is not suitable for asian cooking...juz that it's built for western cooking lor...of cos u can use their pan lah...juz be careful about the enamel one that u dun chip it - is poisonous and must throw away...
  10. u can search on kim's thread, amcon (may) has a min shipment vol of 1 cbm at s$110 + $35 + gst ... this item comes flat packed, so calculate volume by L x W x H ... exact dimensions can b found via the tb link i gave...
  11. first off - if u hv induction, you can't buy any old how cookware but those that are suitable for use on induction stoves - sorry can't help you there...all the items below is for gas only... i prefer stainless steel cos easy to wash and unlike those non-stick pots, dun have 2 worry about scratching the surface except for the pan i use to dry eggs and stuff (see below)... basic and serviceable brand you can consider mayer - the stainless steel range is not too expensive and if u're not a serious cook, may not want to splurge on le creuset etc... mayer has a good range of pot sizes, u should be able to find something that fits what u need... even supor from china is actually not bad i've used their stuff when i was based in china and surprisingly good... i'm not a big fan of WMF as their pot handles are not insulated - if you use a gas stove like me, then it gets too hot to handle without gloves, which is quite inconvenient...not sure about induction but fren who is quite serious about her cookware tells me that WMF is designed more for european cooking, so they tend to sear their stuff b4 putting into the oven and WMF cookware is designed for that...i think ditto for silit etc...they look very nice tho i'm the practical sort - i bought a mayer 16" saucepan for cooking noodles/pasta/boiling for 1-2 persons, a 24" soup pot in case i need to cook for 4-6, a tefal non-stick pan that's actually high enough to fry rice without spilling over as well as for eggs (they only have 1 model that's like this)...and that's pretty much it for a 1-2 person household dun overbuy i.e. those 4-6 pot sets, even tho it's very tempting - you end up with pots you don't use...instead, add on as and when you require... but that's juz me
  12. it would help if you can specify what you're looking for ? just a pasta pot or the whole shebang ?
  13. sorry, dunno...u gotta search using chinese patiently
  14. 吧台椅 现代 you simply have to put the style behind, this one is for modern...not sure exactly what style this is but i guess this is the closest...or if this is by some famous designer, you can put that in too
  15. u need to hang out here more often ! ya, taken over by your hubby and all the HT/sound enthusiasts... ur hubby and gang trying to poison me...but as kim says, very hard to sell me stuff :notti: i told you you need to rack them...
  16. another item from the shipment - the carpet ! kim's didn't get shipped out due to a screwup on their side... again, on TB, very impt to pick sellers cos this one immediately checked and saw they didn't ship one out and immediately offered to ship kim's out with no arguments anyway, mine is a grey silk custom made 1.8x1.8m version... closeup of the fibre - it actually is very smooth to my feet and doesn't feel hot... the underside of the carpet does not come with an anti-slip base, so for those with kids, better put one... unpacking it i had to vacuum both the underside of the carpet as well as after laying it, the surface as well...have to say the quality is pretty good for the price... note : after laying it out, i realised that the carpet looks different from different sides so before you lay one of these down, take a walk around all 4 sides to decide which side shows the best colour...in the end, i turned the carpet 180 degrees to get the colour i wanted...
  17. another portion of our tb shipment, a solid pine foldable table: it came flat packed and was quite well packed because I told the seller that i was shipping overseas...no assembly required... a view of the surface: folded up, it stores really well feels very solid and not wobbly, is a good item to get if you want some additional table top space when guests come over and store it away after that...i bought it to put my rowenta oven...
  18. i'm waiting to see... but his chairs are good looking hor... juz a caution about the seller of the egg chair, their delivery is v v slow, even tho they're located in GZ (same province as amcon, actual location is pretty near lor) but took them 2 weeks to deliver - from factory to amcon ... had to chase them multiple times online... luckily quality still ok ... not so sure of ordering from them again tho... the eames chair seller is very professional, delivered quite fast once the chair was done... even tho the free shipping was supposed to only send to the collection point, they sent it all the way to the warehouse anyway...kim paid for the difference lah, but at least it shows their sense of responsibility...
  19. me too !! my velvet hangers and attachments an assortment of normal hangers, double-sided clips, pants attachments...hangers for pants and scarves too... here's how the hook attachments go on, the pants attachments snap on as well thanks kim, for bringing it over !! :thumbs up:
  20. no lah, unless he is willing to pay you back that amount you will use to ship it back to him lor...depending on who this seller is, u run the risk that he may not repair for you lor... technically in china, he is supposed to pay for the amount that the buyer will take to ship back to him (rmb10 usually unless v big item) and on top of that, send a replacement product...your options are : 1. 申请退款 : this is not dispute (维权), basically means amicable return of money to you, you then ship item back to him at your own expense, no replacement product 2. same as 1, except that he pays you back more to cover your shipping expense, but you won't get a replacement product back 3. 投诉维权 : this is taken very seriously, gives him a black mark and hits him on his rep...this one is usually last resort... 4. let the money go thru and hope he sends u a working product... good luck !
  21. i have only done returns when i was located in china, not worth it to send back from here... there is no way to delay the payment release except on the seller's side i think - ask the seller...
