I think I found a solution to transport my craft bricks / stone. I got a transport for Singapore 200 bucks to transport directly to my place. hopefully they can do it during working hours so that the contractors will be around to help carry it to my place.

Since the tiler is coming to fix one of the tiles, might as well, ask to fix this one also. You must ask or later you will regret why you didn't ask after looking it every time. =)

Z3phy, You didn't use Alan correct? Who did you use?
-
Hi BB 1314, I have checked out your T-blog, remember I asked about the Blum stuff in your T-blog. The tiles is not clear so not able to see the pattern in the tile. Got any close up shot?? ;p
-
I tried to do that, but she said not possible to estimate well, as there are doors and entrance on both sides and windows. She gave an estimate but different from Alan's. Anyway, bought it already, so no choice I guess. Will try to use it other rooms or extend to wall.

Hi Retch, Will inform you if I need more. I think I might have access of the craftstone and lack of crack bricks.
-
They can be considered good but not good actually. So you should ask it to be fixed. Got any pictures of the type of tiles that were done well for the type of tiles. Show him the picture and tell him that is how you want it, see how it is done, very well done, look at the work here , pretty bad, need to fix at least as close as possible as the picture lar. Tell that and see if it works? ;p Why don't you ask the tiling uncle? I am sure they can tell you how? If you use a scraper, wouldn't it scratch or chip the tiles?
-
So are you going to ask them to fixed or cleaned up?? Who is the Tiler? Is it a uncle with a Moustache?
-
Hi bb 1314 , I am hoping it would go along very well with the kitchen cabinet color and the floor color. I like the design as it is sticking out but subtle . Hope it looks great. Got any pictures to show how it appears your kitchen? Is done yet?

How did you estimate how much boxes you need? I asked Alan and he estimated it for me but I think he over estimate at some place and under estimate at other places....but this is me guessing after I did a rough calculation. I have to wait and see.... wonder what to do with the extra boxes that are over estimated....hmmm..... My Sink...actually haven't decided yet, but was thinking of getting the Hafale sink as it is suppose to be German made and has 1 year warranty to it. But probably will go visit this week to other places and make a decision. The Hafale sink is a stainless steel 16 guage1.2mm thick sink with undermount coated to make it silent as well as a condensation layer. Its about 836mm long or around 3feet. Have you decided on your Sink? Why Granite? because of the looks?
-
Hi bb1314, Did you built a concrete base for your kitchen sink and hide it with wood or just undermount on wood? I am also going to be using Blum or a combination of Blum and Hettich for my Kitchen cabinet. Are you using Blum for the drawers only or also for the top cabinet doors?
-
The grouting looks pretty bad, hmm is your tiles not align or is my eyes?
-
Hi Bleucheeze, Thanks for the info. Am not going to be using glossy laminate. Probably have to find the brand with the best looking laminate for the color I am looking for.
-
Wahhh..... your shoe cabinet made of Nyatoh wood! I an guessing it has very clean lines and very smooth.
-
I find the layout of your kitchen different from most people. The cooking area is near the entrance isn't it ? You are using drawers for some parts of the kitchen and casement doors for others? Are you drawers using Blum runners and sides? Nice cabinet workmanship for the oven and microwave. The shoe cabinet design similar to Air Design wahhh....... looks very nice.

Hi Ment0s, Thank you for the explanation, much appreciated. Mine is going to be in the Wenge wood color basically. Based on what you said, it seems from what you say, most of the laminate quality is almost the same. So its more about the design you want. I probably need to go look which brand has Wenge Wood and looks good. Thank You again for the information. Much appreciated.

Hi Ment0s, Mind if I ask which laminate brand did you choose for your carpentry? Was it Lamitek? or EDL? or another brand? May I know why you chose it compared to the rest? Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank You. !!
-
Hi Bleucheeze, Can I check with you on the laminates as you did quite a bit of researching into it from what I read. So to the question, Is Lamitak better or EDL? or the same? Were you able to find out which laminate would be better and can last longer and not damaged easily? Also is there a difference between 12,, and 10 mm and the cost? which is cheaper and which is expensive? Appreciate if you can provide any information that can help! Thank you! Much appreciated.

Hi Mk, Yeah....Bought Craftstone and craftbricks . My cousin was saying the craftbricks are smaller so definitely can bring in car but not the craftstone as it a pretty big and about 30 plus kg's. I am going to but a trolley also, probably go to homefix and get the primstar at 138 dollars. Think can get it cheaper at other places but need to find them. Need to check if it is the made in Japan one. I actually bought my bathroom fittings from Malaysia too with 5 year warranty. I bought it during the "homefair" event they had im J.B. My cousin knows the person and so got a bit of discount as well as if anything goes wrong I know the replacement is easy and the quality is good as my cousin is using it in his house there. The sink however buying here, its much cheaper and better quality here.

Hi MK, Are you doing your house in the retro theme? looks like it. That switch brings me memories when I was a small small kid staying in my aunties shop house. hmmm....wonder how your overall house would look like with all the stuff you got with the retro look. -

HI, I have msg you. Regards, Jaykr

Hi Mk, I also asked it to be left at my cousin's place. My cousin called and he was like telling me... he nearly broke his back as the boxes are like very heavy. He said the craftstone is like 3 feet wide and 30 kilos and the others are like 20 kilos but easier to bring by car. I am now panicking because the 3 feet and 30 kilos ones are so heavy and wide , how to bring in and then bring up to my flat as mine does not have lift. Need to look for a solution.
