  1. Where u buy this from and what brand? Looks chio
  2. When you collecting keys? Makanology asked about the vintage lamp I bought. So here goes - It's quite 'cui', some parts of the paint is gone but doesn't this add on to the vintage charm? Hehe
  3. What brand is this fan? How much did u pay for it?
  4. I think cement screed tile will turn out good for kitchen! It's practical yet not overly boring!
  5. Depending on what you wanna match them with/ the wall colour, you can colour them in vibrant colours! I bought a mint green vintage table lamp, very nice colour! Er, but i didn't take any photo; immediately stuffed it into a big box in office where I store some newly acquired barang barang for the home
  6. Yah, i like its washed out look and you can actually spot some intentional imperfections close up.
  7. Ikea has this black rail which is not bad, but I don't like the shape of the "plate" which is fixed to the wall, makes it look a little country style. I believe this is powder coated and so will scratch/wear off over time. As for stainless steel rail, I've heard that Ikea stainless steel stuff quality is not very good, that is, they do rust.
  8. I see. I'm thinking of getting kitchen rail from Song Cho...hmmm.. maybe go Hafele see see first.
  9. So pretty! U bought two only? Is it risky to spray paint it? erm, like what if it doesn't work out...
  10. Thanks for your responses! I did a simple "rendering" with my limited photoshop skills...
  11. Wa, the sink is very cool sia Hafele do retail sales to walk-in customers? Where did you get that kitchen rail from?
  12. Took some photos of the tiles side by side. Below left is the blue tone rusty/metallic tile, the right one is a medium grey, cement screed like tiles with a bit of lines and hairline crack effect Forgot to take sample of the bronze tone rusty/metallic tiles, am thinking it may work better for the kitchen cos it's warmer. And these are all the 3 tiles put together, right most one is the peranakan/patchwork tile: Which one works best for the kitchen floor? Welcome all comments!
  13. I won't be hacking floor tiles in dining area, it will be the original marble tile. So dining area is marble whereas kitchen will be another tile. The rusty tile seems to be more industrial looking? as it's quite dark in colour, may make the already small kitchen look smaller?
  14. Peranakan food is so yummylicious! Nom nom nom... You are so fortunate!
  15. You can scroll back to page 4, or this link http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=53789&view=findpost&p=782609 I ordered a matching pencil leg dining bench as well
  16. OMG all the motifs and colours and stuff! Sounds tough to find! Your MR E is really a true blue baba yeah? Is he good in cooking?
  17. You are so good in finding pix for illustration! Thanks, will think about your suggestion... LOL! Sharp eyes you've got!
  18. I actually thought of this before! But usually people choose bottom brown top white, not sure if top brown bottom white combi will cause an overly heavy /bulky look on top? Or maybe I can break the top cabinet into two layers? Something similar to this but bottom white --> white backsplash --> brown cabinet --> white cabinet?
  19. Or should I choose this tile for kitchen floor? It has a very interesting rusty kinda effect and is slightly metallic. The top tile is more bronzy while the bottom one is more bluish., It will change the entire look of the kitchen, from slightly retro-ish to more industrial style, which I am afraid may not match my dining area which is right beside the kitchen.
