  1. Welcome Sygnur! Finally your turn.. looking forward to your house! Have a smooth sailing reno!
  2. Whoa carrotcake your 3D design very nice and you revise again. Think your final outcome will be even nicer! Looking forward!
  3. Whoa sygnur... You really wake up very early! Saw your post timing.. Actually i shld thank you too.. If not for your question i also won't go find out about my sink too.. Hehe... Ok la... We learn from each other lor...nthing to paiseh. :-) There are a few other blogs which post interesting stuff like having to put cement underneath the sink to prevent the water leakage to damage the cabinet in long run but me not that rich because nowadays cement very expensive! ! So alternatively i put plastic
  4. Hi Sygnur... Hope your search for ID is going smoothly ! whoa... you really ask quite a few question.. haha.. i try to answer to my best knowledge 1) Every kitchen layout is different and is not necessary to have ‘L-shaped’. For me as i do not have the upper cabinet so i thought i might make full use of my space. The reason why i don install the upper cabinet is because i) i’m lazy, i don’t think I’m so hardworking to clean =p ii) i don cook very often, about one every fortnight LOL... think i talk too much.. in short i design the L-corner to be the drawer.. then extreme corner can be access thru the front door.. although abit difficult to take.. but thinking those pots and pans can be keep there 2) Yes my sink is undermount. Negative reveal of about 0.5cm 3) size is 570cm
  5. CARPENTRY Next will talk abit on my carpentry.. Sorry i’m not a good blogger.. so i let the pictures do the talking... My contractor passes me two samples and asks me to choose which i prefer... Of course i will choose the one of better quality... SAMPLE A - LEFT SAMPLE B - RIGHT SAMPLE A - LEFT SAMPLE B - RIGHT All carpentry using sample B.. wardrobe ... console.. bay windows... kitchen cabinet.. basically everything carpentry... so guys.. if your ID/contractors wanna charge you more for ‘better quality’ wood, think twice !
  6. PATHWAY TO THE BEDROOM AND TOILET Initially wanted to place both the lamp at both toilet... but my master toilet really no space to put le !! See the right side of the mirror? So low.. think put already also not nice ... so decide to place this lamp in the bedroom pathway... MASTER TOILET PATHWAY COMMON TOILET CLOSEUP VIEW OF THE LAMP
  7. some update on my lightings.. MASTER BEDROOM Remember i mention lights will be coming out from two sides? this is how it will look... the reason for this lighting is because MOST of the time... or actually shld i say ALL the time? hehe... that i will wake up earlier then my hubby.. then in the mist of changing clothes and makeup blah blah... usually most of us will turn on the lights (cause too early sun not bright enough) and by turning the light will usually wake him up... although is still not his ‘official’ wakeup time but still will get affected by it So, with this in mind, we decided we have some ‘mini lights’ which enable me to do my usual stuff in the morning and yet not waking my hubby up from his sweet dreams....
  8. Hi, consult my fsm about your question... he say mirror cannot face bedroom door... if mirror keep inside wardrobe when needed then is ok...
  9. Hi Sandra! We have the same thinking! Don really like woody stuff too.. Keep us update on your reno and remember to post some pics! Hope your everything goes well !
  10. and lastly my flooring... this is really hard. i don know where to begin with and was thinking if anybody interested or not.. because all flooring looks the same de ma... hahha! but i had to admit after the cardboard was remove, the white tiles really make the house look bigger!
  11. and my simple TV feature wall... all pics are using handphone to take.. so cant take wide angle.. but overall i kinda like my house although they are a few hipcups..
  12. next my master toilet, werid color combi.. lol mistake upon mistake first is the laminate.. chose the wrong design then next is the solid top.. think white will be nicer right? told my contractor i don like the design... (although i chose the laminate myself) he agreed to change the door to glass door! at least we will see less of the purple laminate... so nice of my contractor.. so now is the pic of my mbr toilet before change.. i will be changing the sink tap too... haha bought too tall already... wash hands will splash all over.. not very good..
  13. some update on the house.. looks like most of the things done already... left some minor stuff.. like kitchen and washroom accessories .. 'kitchen' neat and nice - Minimalist kitchen sink, tap and dishwasher (Note: the glass door for dish washer not up yet)
  14. Hehe! Hi Sygnur! Hope your everything goes well in your renovation! I think there are a few more neighbors posting t-blog in here too...
  15. Hoe Guan design & general renovation is a good old-fashioned contractor...The company has been around for close to 20 years in the renovation industry... and i liase with Mr Lee who was in charge of my renovation... most people look for Mr Lee...One thing for sure is if you are looking for a strong design oriented ID/contractor, please do not look for him... you should engage him only if you have simple requirements or you wish to be more hands on during renovation or you already have design ideas and wanna save costs on getting ID and last but most importantly YOU WANNA SAVE $$$!!! They don't have any website... people who i usually referred would engaged him AFTER they have collected quotes from all over... you can call Mr Lee if you wanna meet up... if you need the number, PM me...
