  1. hi, anyone knows any mirror installers who can replace wall mirror on toilet wall? my old mirror got some rust and needs to be replaced. i dont want to go through those general contractors but hope to find someone who is specialist in mirror only. thanks.
  2. mine is a Mitsubishi starmax. i found the blower gets dirty easily after sometime and it's pretty hard to clean it. starmax does have the so called easy-clean but it only expose a little bit more space for the bottom air outlet. still very hard to access the blower itself. i used a brush but it's not very effective because the blower has many small gaps and fins. of course the best way is to dissemble and remove the blower to clean but i dont know how to do that. anyone here can help? thanks.
  3. new aircon comes with "free disposal" of old aircon...
  4. hmm...where got so expensive lah. US$12.99 from ebay. that's less than S$20. rest are shipping. if more ppl interested can GB to share the postage. another good thing about it is it's a good travel companion due to its compact size. i always feel like i need more salt/pepper for french fries. hehe... btw this shaker comes WITH salt and pepper inside. the salt and pepper in the picture is not for illustration. it is PART of the shaker. hehez
  5. right. knocking ceiling using mop stick does work sometimes.
  6. swiss spice salt/pepper shaker http://bp2.blogger.com/_2Ti3rWAuUW4/RlXFll...iss%20Spice.jpg my table salt shaker just can not use in the weather here. the humidity makes the salt damp and clogs the bottle in just few days.
  7. regarding GC, in fact my previous two aircon all got from GC 5 yrs ago. at that time they were new so their pricing is very competitive. attitute was all good. i have been very satisfied with their services. but now their business is getting bigger and bigger and they seem to feel that they are big, premium and superior so start acting arrogent...they really forget how they got started and why they can achieve what they have now. sometimes i have the urge to call up their CEO and let him know my thought...
  8. sure. will see the durability of the device. btw the i got the Olee dehumidifier for $79 at homefix. usual price is 99 but homefix (IMM) is having a discount sale for this item.
  9. has been staying inside kitchen carbinet and running for 12 hours, the device collected about 250ml water. so far so good.
  10. btw my room size is measured by 163 sqf. i see there are two models of toshiba system one. 10000 BTU and 13000 BTU. is 10000 BTU enough for my room? thanks.
  11. i am looking for a system 1 aircon so i am also looking around this days. my previous one is made in japan Sanyo. it has been used for 15 yrs i must say i am very impressed with the quality. the indoor unit still looks quite new. inside the split unit there are lots of damping materials, foams, rubber, seal etc so it seldom gives vibration noise. it's very well designed and built. only thing is the fan of outdoor unit is running slower and slower after so many yrs. aircon service ppl suggested to replace. i have another LG system 1 before but only after two yrs, it starts giving all kinda problems especially vibration noise. i open it and found inside there is basically no damping at all. all plastics are clipped on that's why. today just went down to IMM to check. seems nowadays the indoor unit design are very simple. very little damping fitted. only brands that use damping design are hitachi and toshiba. however hitachi no system 1 so i am considering toshiba. i also checked carefully the sanyo but i found the design and built are way inferior than my 15 yrs old sanyo. agree that gaincity salesman makes me very uncomfortable. the way they act/talk is like they are selling BMW. all best is much better. probably will sign up with all best soon. for pricing, all best gives me $50 discount since all my aircon pipes are concealed one inside wall so no need to lay piples.
  12. thanks for the advise. just went to homefix and bought one mini dehumidifier and one Olee dehumidifier. exactly what i am looking for. will try it and update the result. thanks.
  13. some of my cupboards and wardrobes are pretty damp especially in kitchen. tried those NTUC Gel box dehumidifier but not very effective. clearly need something more powerful but also compact in size so that i can put it inside wardrobes and kitchen carbinets. anyone knows which shop i can find electronics dehumidifiers? either using compressor or thermo-electric peltier module doesnt matter as far as it can dry things up. have seen delonghi one but size if too big. i think it's meant for whole room rather than small areas.
  14. body shop n/a, taka n/a. where where where are they?
  15. those round bath soap that are used in hotels come with various diameters. where to buy them? thanks
