Hi, I am thinking of buying PVC cabinet from taobao and using in my tiny toilet, which will have no shower screen so water will get constantly splashed. How is your experience with the one you installed? -
The downstairs toilet is really tiny! Going to be a challenge to fit everything in (toilet bowl which i believe is non-movable, sink and also a electric heater). Might be going for the below PVC items from taobao? If anyone has used before, can you please let me know whether the items are durable and water resistent? Really fast received one set of the horizontal blinds from Korea, lives up to expectations.. Might buy more but am considering the gap between the blinds for bedroom with larger windows. Checked prices on taobao but if going for the good ones, price looks the same

I got my keys from the seller's agent (except post box key) during the checking on Sat! Even though 2nd appt is a few days away! Managed to do the "opening ceremony" yesterday. Today went down to HIPS contractor, seems like the HIPS keeps getting earlier and earlier (was org next year Apr-Jun, then changed to Nov14-Jan15) and now it's (gulp) starting 23Oct14!! Anyways, managed to change it to Nov14 as i need to put up my wall at recess area and also hack another door for toilet.. seems like its a very good deal, just buy all the accessories and then the contractor will help to install (lights, mirrors, water heaters + shower) on top of the HIPS stuff which will be changed (tiles, wash basin, window, toilet bowl, electrical and inlet/outlet pipes).

My kitchen design is slightly different but as my mum stays with me and she has many pots and pans and all sorts of other stuff (which usually land up as a big pile) I might as well invest in an area to store the big pile .. Sigh Thanks for measuring!

Can I know the size of your walk in pantry? Thinking it would be great to store all my mum's stuff but am afraid it takes up too much space

Cute! But I had bad experience with decals - they might be difficult to remove if the glue used is very sticky..

Finally it's confirmed I will get my keys to house and recess area settled! Ready to tackle Reno soon! Also need some more stuff for office, so going to ask relative to buy again and transfer stuff via amcon this time.

By the way, the lights from taobao was installed today and they all work! Maybe because the supplier was based in shanghai and all were hand delivered / via flight, there was no problem with broken parts.

Finally signed another stack of documents at my lawyer. Seems like HDB had a confusion around which lawyer will handle and then things got delayed again. Based on my experience with concurrent purchase of recess area-my advice would be not to do it unless you are not rushed for time. There are multiple parties involved (more than the normal time transaction) and unless you personally follow up closely every step, it stalls and stalls. So finally my completion date should be end of this month. 16 weeks after 1st appt.

Thanks a lot for the advice on lights! My friend recommended me to buy lights & fans from Jb instead. Maybe that might be better
