I complained about this.... And my ID got the contractor to redo... and this is the result... I complain again... and they redo... Satisfied.

Hollow block wall cemented... MBR toilet wall tiles... i quite like these tiles and the effect of them. Common bathroom... the tiles are reflective but the dark colors make the bathroom looks very dark.

Hollow block wall erected between MBR and living room where the false partition wall was hacked away... A short hollow block wall erected at the kitchen/living room junction for subsequent installation of kitchen glass door. Low wall erected at the kitchen basin corner...

Common toilet MBR toilet And the debris was cleared off, and the sand/cement/tiles shifted in The lift was spoilt on the day when the workers were shifting the cement/sand/tiles into my unit. Poor thing... they had to take the common lift and carry those stuff up one flight of stairs.

And then the hacking began.... and made the entire house looked like War of the Worlds scene. Long time no update this blog... due to my busy work schedule, renovation, running around to source for cheap deals for my new house, and.... plain laziness. Let me update some pics here. Before the renovation starts, I did a check on the bunch of keys given to me by the previous owner. Some of them dunno wot keys, and one of the doors got no keys at all. So i decided to change the door knob of the door that has got no keys, and change the dead bolt of the main wooden door for security purpose. Took me quite some time to change these, but I am quite satisfied with the results.

Hmm.... do u think i could use an LED light bulb on this? I really like this design. I saw Ikea selling LED E27 bulb http://www.ikea.com/sg/en/catalog/products/10222473/ In this case... don't need LED driver meh?

Is this fan still available?? Can PM me the price of it?

What's next would be to get the lightings... from Taobao... after seeing so many of u guys going there for shopping. I wonder whether the LED from Taobao will work for long or not.

I am never good with color matching (that explains my boring wardrobe), and below is what I have selected with the help of my ID and his senior... These are wall tiles for the bathroom... and these are for the other bathroom... and this is the floor tile for both bathrooms... This is for the kitchen wall tiles... and the kitchen floor tiles... Did not take any pic for the living room/bedrooms floor tiles but I prefer solid color so i picked those beige tiles without any pattern. Phew... now waiting for ID to come back with the 3D drawings to show how everything looks like. He will also do 3D drawings on the carpentry work, based on the 4 laminate colors that i picked, namely white, black, grey and maroon.

And one month plus after getting my keys, I finally made up my blardy mind and decided on an ID firm. Gosh.... so went to sign the contract, paid the first 10%, and selected the laminates and wall/floor tiles... all in half a day.

More purchases (damages) done today... Cooker hob, hood and oven set.... cannot resist what looks like a really good offer. And a giant cushion... i mean a cushion from Giant... which is quite a big one.

Hahaha... all u have to do is to look like the innocent and harmless puppy at the corner of the street, can liao. Just kidding... I hope the pillows are good quality stuff.

Is this rain shower system purchased from Taobao?? I noticed that most (if not all) of the rain shower system pictures posted on Taobao seem to suggest that the hot/cold water pipe must be concealed within the toilet wall and not exposed. I wonder whether yours, if also purchased from Taobao, is the same or not. One ID i spoke to told me that newer HDB flat allows that, but old HDB flat cannot go with this design. Must buy additional bracket to convert.

Before I even commit the renovation of my house, I bought the master bedroom bed today. Dunno whether its a good deal or not. S$2729 for the queen-size mattress + bed frame + mattress protector + 4 pillows. Originally was S$29XX with 2 pillows, but I "deh" to the sales person and he gave me further discount + additional 2 more pillows.

I am different on this part though. Initially I did not want to hack the wall, the laminated floor, this and that, in hope to save some cost. The more I stay in my unit, the more I want to do. Hack wall, hack floor, hack hack hack!! Going to be costly.

I am the same on that too. People been asking me what theme I have in mind, and I would either tell them i have no idea, or if it was some close friends I will tell them I want a Hello Kitty theme with pink walls.... jokingly of coz.
