  1. Hi, you mentioned that you brought your WC and wash basin for $288 - Is it inclusive of installation? We brought a 5 years re-sale cond too and the most of the utilities in the Apt is still in good working condition and I am not sure if I should change the WC. If it is too expensive then I rather leave it and change the seat only. We got the place since mid July but have no time to look into the renovation yet.
  2. I think this price is quite reasonable as we brought ours last year and it costs more. Just make sure that the price is inclusive of delivery.
  3. I agreed that eating and exercising is a important part of a slimming program. One must reduce fat intake and burn off some fat out by exercising regularly, even walking is good enough to get some fat burn.
  4. Hi Lee, Thanks for the info. I will contact them for a quote when I return next month.
  5. Hi, Is it possible to share the fee you paid for such services? I just like to have a guide line when I talk to them. Thanks.
  6. Hi, I am also interested to engage a carpenter for our kitchen cabinet, etc..Pse send the contacts by PM or email as shown below.
  7. Hi, If I have 2 properties, I will lease one out. I think this is one of the best investment without major risk as compared to other form of investment. Also, if you sell the property and keeping the money in the bank, you don´t get any reasonable interest. From the rental income, I think one can get around 5% return.
  8. Hi, I am also interested to add some wood onto our balcony. Can anyone share with some pictures of the type of wood used. Thanks a lot.
  9. Hi, I am not sure anyone of one have tried the NTUC 3 days´diet plan. It is quite effective and I tried it myself sometime ago. Anyway, drinking lot of water is also another alternative, about 2-3 litres a day will help to wash most of fat intake from your system.

    Nice Wallpaper?

I don't really remember the brand. I don't have them in hand now but can tell you later. I will check for a website when I have the time later. Most of the DIY stuffs here are rather cheap as compared to Singapore.

    Nice Wallpaper?

Hi, First, you have to find out if the wallpaper which you have is made of paper or fleece. If it is wallpaper then it is easy, just buy any glue for wallpaper from the DIY shop. Apply the glue directly on the wallpaper and attach it onto the wall. If it is a fleece material then the glue has to be applied onto wall directly. I am not sure if the glue for the fleece is easy available in any DIY shop in singapore. How much do you need? I can give you some because we have some available for our new place and when the place is done, most likely we have some balance. Also, the decals on glass wall is easy available in Germany (where I am located) but I am not sure about Singapore. You can try to check online if these outlets prepared to ship overseas. It is very light weight so the postage should not be too much. OK, have fun..
  12. Go to a DIY Shop (Homefix, etc) and buy a wood glue (it is like a paste used to fill up holes in the wall) and there is a special one for the wood. Cover the hole or crack with this wood paste and then polish it with a sand paper when it is completely dried and then paint over with a wood paint or vanish.

It depends on the size of the room. One roll of wall paper is around 5 sq m and a standard room with the size of 40 sq m needs around 8 rolls. On the other question on our location, we live verv close to Koeln and we don't sell paper wall but we brought some for our own place and have more than we need. If you check on MY WORLD in the Blogs, you will see some of the wall paper we used before in our current place. Unfortunately, I don't know how to link this blog to this site. If anyone can tell me??

    Wallpaper

Hi, Can you wait? I am travelling now and will be in SG mid Oct. I brought in 20 rolls from Germany and you can see it and decide if you like it. One roll is around $40-$50 and we can show you how to attach it. We are doing it for our new place.
  15. Can you give me the contact of the supplier for the shower screen? I like to install one in my MBR.
  16. The cheapest is of course a 99 years old property. Better still, if you will to buy a EC, i mean for investment purposes like renting it out. It is not important how much you earn but how much you have in your savings (in ready cash) and it is not earning any interest if you leave it in a saving account.

Yes - I totally agreed with you. We are now planning another round of wall paper for our new Apt and this time we select only the living hall with some design so that he does not need to match the attachment so accurate and the other 3 bedrooms will be simple design with not so much matching to be done. BUT, I agree that this kind of work is no fun and requires a lot of patience. We are looking to get some part-time helper to do it together. Any recommendation from the members here if we can get some part-time helper to do some handy job for us.
  18. how much do you charge?

It is really not difficult to attach wall paper. My husband attachs all the wall paper in our Apt and each room takes about 3-4 hours and you can see the result with photo posted under Home Deco - nice wall paper.

    Nice Wallpaper?

Actually, DIY Wallpaper is not difficult, in fact very simple and there is nothing to do with the humidity weather here if a proper glue is used. Pse check on my Blog (My world) and you can see that my apt is completed with wallpaper (all the walls). Unfortunately, I do not know how to link my blog here. If anyone interested to learn how to put up wallpaper, we can show it in our new apt sometimes in mid-July 2008 but you must be prepared to help with the work.
  24. Obviously, there is an error but no one apologise and insisted that the area is correct until a title search shows the actual area. Even that, they insist that some searches which they did online provide a different information. Anyway, I have enough of this and decided to move on until yesterday the agent called to ask why don't I go after the seller, knowing that I have no ground and the only document which shows the agreed area was a contract signed with the Agent where it indicates the area used for the calculation of the purchase price.
  25. Hey..you understand my situaton. Well, stamp fee is always payable by the buyer (according to the law) and it has to be paid within 14 days from date of exercising the option. The Agent is challenging me to take the case with the seller directly knowing that the information was provided by them in the Contract which was signed between the Agent and myself indicating the area of the apt. Well... i have given up, just need some space to air my disappointment with the practice here. Probably, being away for too long and was not caution enough to trust the agent. In Europe, an agent's word is trusted and honoured. They are very professional with their job. It is simply bad luck for me and I am just telling my story to warn others to be careful.
