ya i also received a giro application from IRAS to ask me to pay those by GIRO..i remembered they will bill the tv licence bill to us yupp! the sound from the tap is very irritating. it started from my blk..now the noise goes to another blk already..the sound "gronk gronk gronk..tu tu tuu..".

oh ya! btw did we pay our tv licence at hdb on day of key collection already? i cant remember i was not billed for the tv licence yet..do i need to inform them to bill me?

Hi onepostwonder, my sockets inside my tv console also.. i am thinking of asking them to drill 2 holes on the tv console, but afraid will spoilt the look of the tv console..how ah? will u be doing cutting holes on ur tv console also? see ah, if the speaker wire from downwards through the top of the console,then the speaker will be directly below ur tv right? - mine is like that also..so i will have 5 exposed wires (2main,2surround,1center), but i dont want to see the exposed wire leh..my wire is white somemore,so obvious ) so if drill hole on the tv console: the wire will be from the player --> out from the hole directly and ur speaker placed on top of the tv console if dont drill hole the wire goes from the player --> to feature wall --> out of the feature wall, ie.behind the tv. --> down to the tv console..so u can see the wires exposed

mine is toshiba lcd..then i bought pioneer sound system separately for the samsung with free dvd player, u need to go collect the dvd player urself..hence the tv will be installed first

dear neighbours, take note of these impt small issues : 1) remember to buy ur sound system/dvd player early. for my case, i bought my dvd player together with my tv. Arranged for delivery on the same day. The electrical shop last min say that my dvd player no stock! so...my tv was delivered as per schedule. Delivery and mounting tv is done by different group of pple. so my tv was installed without the dvd player i ended up have to unmount and mount the tv after i bought my dvd player. quite troublesome..cos the tv is v heavy and its not easy to mount it back so anyone whose reno is almost done, do remember to buy dvd player first. once u buy ur dvd player/sound system, its better that u decide how u gg to place ur system..(cos the dangling wires can be quite annoying. plan early so that u can do something abt the location of the speakers) for those who bought samsung tv free dvd player, u will face the same issue with me too -> unmount tv and mount back when u collect ur player) 2) remember to off ur washing machine tap if u r not going to use it. bought my toshiba washine machine, the person who installed my washing machine didnt screw the tap properly. So water leaked..the worker came back to tighten the screw the next day can u imagine if eg. u r on long holiday,say 1week. the water leak for 1week? can be quite disastrous

i did mine for $200 (9 round bolts,the better quality one) The price can negotiate one..he quoted me $225..then i negotiated it to $200. stil v exp leh.. (done by sunny also). the other non-rounded type was quoted $150 for 9bolts i didnt engage desmond,but met him once.. "too many projects in same neighbourhood = good, cos most of the workers is there to help u" i experienced it personally, eg. u say this need to rectify, the workers can straight away come from other blk to ur blk to do for u. super fast..

hehe u r sharp..haiyo the 5 black boxes is my current headache its 5 speakers! the wires are hanging/dangling there. most likely i will mount the speakers at the feature wall (havent mount yet). so temporary stack up on the console first so that i cant see the wires..keke.but stack up liao become like a black thick thing there, sigh. how the wires work is that: - dvd player inside the tv console - 5speaker wires connect from the dvd player to feature wall, then from out from the back of the tv. thus can see wires dangling Solution: - first solution: drill hole at the tv console..the wire connect back down into the dvd player. so i dont have to make a big round to connect the wire into feature wall and out of the tvl - 2nd solution: stack up the speakers without drilling hole. (not so nice leh) - 3rd solution: buy soft toy to display there, can hide the dangling wires keke need to do something abt it. head become like a watermelon now (bigger and bigger)
