You are right on the calculation. You got a lot of cash since your balance loan is high. Assuming if you had fully redeem you loan. Your cash proceeds may be less. Right, you don't pay resale levy. Right, no wipe out of CPF if take bank loan. Seems to me the 5% would be lower than $25,000. And that you had chosen bank loan. Need help in chosing which bank. Just mortgage may help you.

Therat mention is Medisave Contribution Ceiling. 37,500 You are talking about Medisave Minimum Sum. ( MRA ) For retirement The Medisave Minimum Sum is the amount you need to retain in your Medisave Account whenever you make a withdrawal of CPF savings (e.g. at age 55, 56, etc). The Medisave Minimum Sum will ensure that you set aside enough savings to meet your future healthcare expenses. The amount from 1 July 2010 will be $34,500 and it is adjusted every July of the year. Any amount in excess of the prevailing Medisave Minimum Sum can be withdrawn. Both of you are correct

Q: How do I make a capital repayment or revise the monthly instalment amount if I have taken up a bank loan to pay for my HDB flat? A: If you have taken up a bank loan and wish to make a capital repayment or revise the monthly instalment amount, you may either: a) instruct your financier, who has linked up with the Board, to liaise directly with the Board; or b) submit your application (HBL/3) directly to the Board. No need to pay lawyer I search here and there, still this is the correct one. Perhaps, you write to Public-housing-bankloan@cpf.gov.sg -
Think for EC, income ceiling = 10k But for DBSS, still cap at 8k For others like extended family, income ceiling = 12k This is link to children who are working
-
My tokong accounts comes not from working. Purely base CPF contributions from salary will not fill up your stomach, as contributions are cap at $4500. So more and more are going to Medisave.

No sure how is your understanding of profits. I assume you know abt the acrrued interest ..etc. For bank loan/HDB loan. There is another thread on this topic
-
Thought they raise the limits slightly ?
-
50% cash proceeds or 25k whichever is lower is for 2nd concessionary HDB loan. Nothing to do with new/resale, upgrade/downgrade. You borrow "Ah Kong" money, must obey his rules. Even if he change this rule tomorrow

Oops... you are right, For pte, bank loan, can go on line For hdb, hdb loan, can go on line But for hdb, bank loan, Logon, My requests Property Request form .... shortcut link http://mycpf.cpf.gov.sg/NR/rdonlyres/D3F5E...217F/0/HBL3.pdf Check if this is what you want. -
If got pte, sell em, no point buying another pte, cos got 30 mths rule. So, no choice, buy resale, MOP=36 mths, then apply new hdb. But then kena resale levy, if apply new hdb. So, looks like you already decide your path when you bought your pte. unless, you will to rent a home for 30 mths.

Hi Davidbslee, Sure, go to the office if you feel comfortable. 15 years ago, We pay HPS base on tenure and the loan amt. One lump sum. Imagining paying >8,000. Later, as HDB price go up, HPS also go up. . So to make it look affordable and reduce the refund amt, Now HPS is paid yearly base on outstanding loan. So it gets cheaper each year. What we commit should be affect our "FAMILY" If I should return my IC, my loan are insured. I buy accident, health, life & investment, mortgage loan insurance policy. Even though I owe bank money. I have peace of mind knowing life still goes on without me. As they are not burden financially. I also keep some CPF to TOP UP for my parent. -

Revision of monthly installment plan can be submitted online through CPF. Need to logon Singpass. Thought the effectively month not immediate but the following month. IMO, HPS is the best package CPF even offer. Not only this is affordable but can use CPF. Both should buy 100% each. % of protection is related to contribution. Should either one RIP there are a lot of repercussion, altering your lifestyle not only in terms of finance. Trust me, pls don't save in this. -
Crying now If I turn 55 this year, at least can take 30%(OA+SA). If you turn 55 after 2013, Must keep MS+Medisave MS. Based on my projection, can withdraw only $5000. Now must plan my funds liao. Try digging my funds out before 55, or increase my projection. Too bad kena lock 60k liao, 60k can use for home loan only.
