It is okay to cover it up but if you intend to box up the balcony pipe for decorative purpose then better take note consider below. If you have neightbour ontop, make sure the after covering or box up the pipe, there is still a accessable portion for it. Else one day, suay suay upstair people pipe jam and chock. Their balcony become swimming pool then the plumber from HDB/Private may ask you to dismantle yout box up, saw your pipe, pump it and clear the chock piping from your unit to allow water flow upstair. It happened to me one time. Why upstair chock and dismantle my house?

Yes I agree. Men ought to love his woman and his chidlren, especially to woman that made the sacrify and risks to give birth. Women also needs to understand and respect the men. Can any body advise do I need to apply for permit to build a roof in my balcony? Or can I just go to a contractor to do the work.

Man are from Mars, women from Venus. As a man ,sometimes I do tryto be empathy and think from the other party's point of view but quite often I get it doing it the wrong way. So more you do more you wrong. So better don't do and wait and see how. (Normaly how man will react). Try read the book and you may understand why man and women handling things differencely.

Yah staircase, one of the favourite playground of my son and daughter. My daughter at 4, do try to explore the tiny space along staircase railing. Normaly I am mild on her behaviour but on that day I saw her tried and I fume up and slaped her little hand. She had never see me in this state. Knowing she did somethings really wrong. From that day onward she did not attempt to it.. Who says must always used love education. Some times we needed to be hush to send out a strong signal. Better to be hush than sorry man. As for my son at 1+, learning to walk, run. Every day he wanted to climb up and down of it. Rather than I carry him up and down, I train him to hold on to the rail and up and down by himself Now hee hee. everytime I change diapers I just say UP UP UP and he climb climb climb.
