  1. yeah make it there again today (around 5pm). Again, the shops are getting ready to close for the day. Really no luck with that place. But did manage to take a glance at Royal Flaxxx or Poh Jxx. One of them commented that the accessories are usually 18/10 but washroom are usually 18/8. How true is that statement? Still trying to find the "MR RIGHT" sink for the right size & price. Heard of ROZ sink? Saw a few in Hoe Kee... claimed that it's from Spain.
  2. Good for you... I would like to but my 2 boys just wean off on their own. Elder son, 5yrs... wean off at 17mths when i got pregnant with my 2nd son. 2nd boy, 3yrs... wean off at 14mths for no reason after an immunisation shot (dont ask me why). I got so depressed during that period of time. Definitely withdrawn sign...
  3. Applefreak, I finally made it to jalan Besar last sunday... but too bad most of the stores are closed. But i'm curious... 18/10 made in China and 18/10 made in Germany, do you think they are of the same quality? I'm looking for a 3tier corner rack for my washroom. Hox Kex is selling for sold S$58 while Jalan Besar is selling for S$30. Of course the pricing is very attractive, but really dont know how to decide. What is your view?
  4. Not sure if there is any difference between Acid & Chemical washing? Basically my contractor did not charge me for the Acid washing.
  5. Hi, Got a Mitsubishi sys3 inverter from Hxxx Txx directly from their head office. (used to have a showroom in IMM but closed now). Indoor MSXY-GA10VA x 2 bedrooms MSXY-GA18VA x 1 living room Outdoor MXY-3A28VA Includes installation & stainless steel brackets They will remove the old air-con and dispose at no additional cost (sales talk). I was hoping that they will give some discount with the trade in of the old air-con. Total cost = S$3100 gst inclusive (cash or check) I bought a Mitsubishi system4 from them 2 yrs old. I have to say that their servies is good... no complaint so far. But i'm not sure if the price is right. Will get a few more quote from Gain City, All Best etc.

  8. My rental place is currently using 1x system2, 2 x system1. I sincerely believe the bulk of my electricity bill comes from the air con. I'm not so keen with Daikin air con. I ever bought LG system4 for a 5rm flat in Sembawang. Got the unit from Gain Cxxx in Suntec City. Bad Choice... installation was so bad that it was leaking for the first week. Also bought Mitsubishi system 4 (inverter) from Hong Txx (IMM) which has already moved. Any idea where has they moved to? Used it for 2yrs so far, no problem. Pretty good workmanship & installation. I'm still looking for a system3 (non or inverter) for 67sqm HDB 3rm flat. But i need a bigger BTU for my living as I have extended my living into my kitchen area. Anyone has any recommendation? Thanks!
  9. 320 Clementi Ave 4 Govt is in the midst of upgrading the block My Renovation will probably be starting in Mid Sep. Hopefully it'll be all ready in Nov as my rental contract will be expired...
  10. My rental place comes with 3 bedrooms and 2 washrooms. All the washrooms and kitchen comes with their own storage heaters. But my new place will be a HDB 3rm flat, thus not quite keen to run piping all over the house.
  11. Thanks for the feedback... yet to visit the Citygas Gallery to find out more.
  12. Hello applefreak, yeah.. my mistake. Hubby is not so keen with the pipe to the washrooms. Based on my requirements for the washrooms, i dont need hot water except for showers. Thus, reading all the threads.. it seems to be cheaper to use instant heaters for showers (twice a day). Plus the Citygas Instant heater is FREE.... PS: Currently, i'm using Storage heaters... not a big fan. Too much a hassle to wait for the hot water esp when i need to shower my kids urgently. Also, the hot water get ready HOT HOT HOT... But i have to say that there is no concern for LOW WATER PRESSURE.
  13. Hello, I'm planning to use Citygas Water Heater for my kitchen tap as i use hot water to wash my dishes (esp. pot). Then, for the 2 washrooms I'll be looking at Instant Heater (as i didn't want to run the Citygas pipe all the way to the washrooms). Any comments on such ideas? Had anybody did that arrangement before? Any pros & cons? Pls share your experience. Thanks & regards,
  14. Hi, I'm researching on this fridge model from Panasonic that comes with Magic Top. http://panasonic.co.jp/appliance/global/pr.../magic_top.html http://panasonic.com.sg/web/pid/954 Anyone has experience using this model? Appreciate your sharing. Regards,
  15. I'm using it for the past 3yrs in my rental apartment. Have to say that it was really impressive mixer except for the price (believe it was 250+ <2yrs ago when i check with Hoe Kee>).
  16. Hi Wng, Any particular model in mind for Tecno? I'm looking at TWH8228, not sure if it really leave up to its features (suitable for low & high pressure). http://www.tecnogas.com.sg/product_details...7-409AB791562C} Appreciate your feedback. Regards, kids2
  17. Hi, Looking at my sis & mom's place, the lighter color/cream tiles has this problem. As time passes, the gap between the these light colored tiles tends to get dirty after a while. Even though they do the hand mopping everyday. Does any member have the same experience? Any view on darker shade Homogeneous tiles, does it really "help" to resolve the ugly gap stain? Appreciate your view. Cheers,
  18. Hi, Anybody has any recommendation of where i can get CLIPSAL switches?
  19. Hi applefreak, pardon my limited knowledge, what is 18/10?
  20. Thanks HSH21 You definitely had done your research. So, has the laundry system been serving well so far? Cheers,

    Hob & Hood

ok pointed taken again. Look like Battery ignition is much better than. Now, it will be more of the reliability of the Hob & Hood. I'm quite towards Tecno (allow internal frame for boiling soup) but not sure if anyone has any good recommendation for other brands. Looking forward to hear your views.
  24. Hi, Anybody has experience using ikea sink, in particular the one below: http://www.ikea.com.sg/products/product_display.asp?id=864 Some of the china made stainless steel is so hollow. Not sure if the one from ikea is of that quality. Appreciate your sharing. Cheers,
  25. oh really??? I'm currently using one in my rental apartment. Almost 3yrs... doesn't seem to have any problem. But i have to say that i dont really use the system to the fullest. Basically fixed at one location and then use it to hang the laundry. Good point.. will take note on that.
