Just to share this info who is looking to rent out your HDB flat. An agent contacted me to say that he charge 0% commission if the landlord is renting out the whole unit. 100% commission on the tenant only. Sound good for landlord who might want to market it's unit. I'm yet to meet up with the agent, but will share more once i get the more info. Anybody comes across such agent? Please let me know. I paid 8.5% above valuation for HDB 3rm flat in Clementi (next to MRT) last May. 20% above valuation... really high for a 3rm flat Plus the location is the really up north.

Hi, I didn't expect my 2 panel sliding door wardrobe to be such a boring look as there is only one color tone (beige color without any silver trimming). Thinking that simplicity is the beauty. So sad... Any recommendation to improve the look? Of course, re-skinning will be out of question. And of course, it's not the contractor fault as i told him that this is what i want. Please help.... Hi, Besides the whole stretch of Balestier, where else can i get lighting? I'm looking for the simple hamburger light. Unfortunately there is only 2 lighting shops in the west (1 in IMM - Thomsxx and 1 in TradeHub21 - Bright Houxx). The one in TradeHub 21 is extremely expensive. They were selling 68 (offer price) for a 32W hamburger light. I believe the pricing should be about 30plus. Please help...

Hihi, Not sure what was your requirement for your sink. But i find the sinks from RUBINE has quite a few selections that might cater to your needs. Whether 2 big bowls, 1 single bowl etc... MN has pretty good quality but the price is quite ex. I got MN mixer when my hubby was in Beijing. Very solid quality.

That was basically the main drawback that my contractor mentioned. Uneven tone pataches for touch up. Need to repaint the wall if necessary. So far, I have used this contractor for the past 3 years (in 3 different places). No complaint on the paint job at all. After all, he uses NIPPON paint but just not easy wash.

Thanks MaCe, Unforunately, my ceiling & wall are as good as the MARS.... Thus, need to plaster the whole wall and ceilings to be exact. My contractor claimed that he received feedback that EASY WASH is not easy wash after all. I'm sure the painting quotation does not come with the more expensive paint (like easy wash).

Hi Pisces, yeah... abit too late. But no worries... I have already installed the Panasonic Instant Heater (the one with air-bubble). Even though, I'm still in the midst of renovation. I have tested the water pressure, it's really good. Will provide more review after my move.

I basically part-time in that company during all my school vacation. Finally, after my graduation, i worked for them full time (1995). I finally left the company for good when i had my first kid (2002). So, all in all... 6years part-time & 7years full time in the same company. Was still pretty much "in-love" with the company. Fyi... For new forumers looking for stainless steel accessories along Jalan Besar, tried this shop in Blk30 Kelantan Lane (Kix Sixxx Hardware Pte Ltd). I personally find the salesperson very friendly and knowledgeable. Their pricing are cheaper, so cant really get much discount. But you may not find the full range of matching accessories if you dont mind the mix & match. Good luck in shopping.

Hi, I'm into ready-made curtains. I find that their design are pretty nice and pricing are reasonable too. I just got mine from John Little Warehouse Sales. 2pieces of day curtains 13.90each (for living room only) 4pieces of night curtains 11.90each (for 2bedrooms) All in one = S$75.40 Just need to purchase another 3sets of wooden rod and the case is closed for that.

Not in the position to comment as i'm a stay home mom with a live-in maid. But before having kids, i dont do ironing too. I simply HATE it. I would rather pay the laundry shop to wash and iron for a min S$2+ per shirt. (that was 7 yrs ago). Not sure about the market rate now. Just a suggestion, save lots of time!

Yes... they actually dismantle the air con & grilles for you. It took them abt an hour to finish the work at my place. Pretty efficient & fast. contact # is 63568325, I think her name is Ms Tan. They always advertise in the Classified under Air Con/Fridge. Good luck!

Hi, Just want to share a deal that i have found, maybe useful for forumers who are about to do a major renovation. I manage to sell my 4 old window grilles & system2 national air con at S$260 (it's a 3rm flat). When most of the air-con sellers will tell you that they dont do trade in and old air-con doesnt worth much $$$. Basically, i just go though the papers and pick one guy that will buy old window grilles & air con. Even though it's a small amount, but i believe it's better than none. Just a thought. Hope it's useful.

I cant even remember now... lots of support from my hubby. Of course ensure that both my boys give me lots of TLC.... I was so concerned abt breastfeeding during my first pregnancy. Read lots of book to find out more as not much of my friends breastfed their babies. Of course i'm probably one of the lucky few that do not have much problem. No complaint!!!
