Near completion??? - Around mid year 07 this year... I will be staying in of the units there (blk 25b) I think it is blk27b... hmmmm Granite or Homo tiles???? Until now, still cannot make up my mind.

Afraid they might con you out of your heard earn money. In the end, both id/contractors was not in my shortlisted list.

Hi Sco $26K is a big amount. Care to share with everybody what you do? Today happen to went to 8th floor, (i forgot the unit) and saw the lights at the main door area: wow very nice! Just stand outside and did not go further.

Once again, thanks!! So means the sink and stove will have concrete 'leg'. But it is ok lah. The rest of the cabinet will be laminated with abs trimming. Hey, I thought of having the 'metal' laminated but it cost more.....

Yes, I just afraid that my shorlisted contractors might not have the tiles from the suppliers, so, can ask him go to this n this to buy. Dont know can be done in this way or not.

No lah, since got time, just go and look around. At least you will have one tiles you like, so if confirm with the contractors, tell him to get the tiles which I want.

Well I started hunting for contractors/id during month of Aug (as I am not sure when the key is coming, probably end of year), it was very stressful and lots of time talking to id and contractors. I took whole month to send mail and arrange for meet up. Encountered lots of experiences (good and bad) and learn many things too. Then I came across this web and find it very very useful especially lots of tips on renovations. This Sep, we went to see granites and marbles...lots of choices to choose from but price is hmmmm very high. Went to Hup Kiong, etc. Balestier rd and SBH (collected a few samples). This weekend might go and hunt for the granites tiles again so that we will know what tiles we want. I will post the 3 shortlisted granites later on (I dont have my camera with me now). Right now, I have slow down.....to consolidate the quotations I gathered. Cheers!!

Those uncles know which blk coming here, so they go around knocking pples door and asking them whether want to renovate or not. I am telling you the truth as one id/contractor (3 of them) actually walk pass my unit and my neighbour actually told me they ask her want to do renovation or not. So those uncles will be very difficult to tap on the balloting owners, the only way they can go is to hdb hub and distribute flyers. I personally feel those uncles should not hang around the aread (blk 25a), the officers in charge should allocate a space for them to station there. And pple are free to walk in and out without being follow. Whom should I call so that those uncles can stop their touting??
