kompacplus is a thin 6mm board over the kitchen cabinet. I researched about it and it is resistant to scratches and heat and so on. And so it says. If you call Kompactplus, they will charge you normal pricing. Try to talk to any IDs. they can push the price down because kompactplus give IDs a special price behind. I know the pricing because I have a very good contractor who told me how much he is getting vs what I pay if I go direct to kompactplus. I can only say what I said above, try to talk to any ID and get a lower price pfr.

Iquartz, Caesarstone, Granite, Marble For Kitchen Top Prices
pokodoro replied to infinity2015's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
iQuartz cannot go directly to iQuartz itself. They will charge you usual price. What they do is that they usually have a tie-up with IDs and other contractors (they cover the IDs). and usually contractors can charge you all the way low as 110 to 130pfr. Try to talk to a few IDs to find out more. -

Buying Hdb In Full Cash No Loan?
pokodoro replied to metaphor's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
just to add on, your changing of job doesn't affect the use of cpf, but if your cash and current CPF (OA) is not enough, then you will have to take a HDB loan or bank loan. When that happens, they will look at your CPF contribution and if you have latest 2 months not paid with CPF, then the loan might be affect. but all should be good if you say you looking for 2bdrm. I think its about that pricing. -
I heard from friends that toilet door facing the living room is not good feng shui. Whats more, my wash basin is directly facing the living room. Any free advice to counter this?

Hi, I just installed my city gas and I thought I can share with you guys some thoughts. It wasn't very hard to get it done, and but it can help those who want to do it themselves. 1) You can open an account through their website http://www.citygas.com.sg/forhome/our-services/open-an-account/or can call them at 1800 555 1661. I would suggest calling. I did a comparison before that calling will get you earlier in Queue if you are in urgent need to open an account. Online I think takes at least 4working days. 2) When you open an account, they will divide their installation of gas pipe into 2 trips. The first being to extend the gas pipe to your stove area. Before this is done, make sure you already talked to your contractor or ID to know which is the position. The gas man will know the height from the floor based on his experience. 3) After your kitchen top and cabinets are set up, you can call in or use the online form to request for the completion of installation. Calling in will be easier again. Else it will be standard 4 working days wait. 4) There is a total charge $120 not inclusive of GST charged to your bill once the second installation is done (1st and 2nd together). There is no cash involved during installing. 5) City gas will sms you one working day before the actual installation to remind you 6) Make sure you ask the gas man to test for leaks during the second installation. Sometimes, the cabinet installer might accidentally moved something and thus cause a leak! Hope the above helps whoever is doing their own installation of gas
