ya, yishun is quite far from CBD area coz it is more toward the north-east area but confirm not as far as compared to areas like woodland lah. The mrt from yishun to marina bay is always crowded in the morning one loh, some time i got to wait for the 2nd train... 1st train will be super packed I know which shop u are talking abt, the size of their bread are all bigger than the usual one u see in other cake shop. Have you try the indian nasi briyani at northpoint foodcourt, tat is and always got a long queue
-
that is quite worth it since it is only $100 additional. tink i will got for tat as well.

blk 217 is one blk behind my parents place. rondy, are u preparing to get another property in yishun
-
u mentioned that urs have extended warranty rite, so how many yrs of warranty are u having now?
-
No choice but to plan earlier becoz we noe that we wun be able to cope with the expenses of wedding + renovation + COV all at one time... that will be alot of money leh initally we only planned to buy a 4rm flat but at time 4rm flat at yishun area are all calling for COV of at least $10k... we din have so much cash on hand tat time coz i was still studying so in the end we decided to get a 5 rm flat instead as the market tread for 5 rm flat at tat time is either selling at valuation or below valutaion.

-

-
My blk is 213 (near to northpoint), paid around $258k b4 rebates but tat was in 2007 b4 the property market boom.

wah... precious... sunday u wake up so early ar... for the marble tiles, i think it is a norm to do dry lay first. If the tiles supplier never do dry lay for u, the contractor will also do it for u to see b4 they proceed to cement the tiles. For SBH, they will charge extra $1 psf to see the dry lay. But we only opt to see the dry lay for the living and dining area coz we wan to ensure that those marble tiles for this area is swee swee one... As for the bedrooms, the area where u can see the floor tiles is not alot after placing the furnitures so no point to waste money to dry lay the tiles for the bedrooms.

ya, mine is a resale flat. My neighbour downstair is having celling leak in their MBR toilet tat y HDB will be doing the repair work for us. They are suppose to complete work by 3 days and if they take their own sweet time I will definitely feedback to the HDB officer.
-
I also tot so but tat is definitely not the case at all...
-
ya, i have checked with yeak on the date which is convenient for the HDB guys to come and work... he told me to let them come on the 18th and he will let his worker to work on other areas first... tricky situation... HDB doing flooring and yeak will be doing the wall tiles and piping... initially, i wanted to let the HDB contractor to do the work for the whole toilet but their price is too liao... almost $3k to replace the wall tiles ($2.20 psf) and piping for 1 MBR toilet... daylight robber...
-
Today we went to SBH to look at our marble dry lay... gosh... the area which they are doing the dry lay was so hot coz it is the last floor of their warehouse and when you look up you can see those roof insulation... no aircon... really got to to those workers who are working there... They have laid the marble tiles according to our floor plan, we have also select a few tiles which we think is unacceptable so there will be a 2nd appt for the dry lay coz they got to take out those which we dun wan and replace with other tiles. We also went to SBH showroom to look at toilet wall tiles... those we like is too expensive le... So in the end, we might be considering to have a full white toilet wall... wonder will that look weird... i tink i shall ask yeak for advise since i will be meeting him tomolo to sign the quotation and give him the list of confirmed tiles

I m also looking at that samsung white fridge, actually the price is quite reasonable for a 4 ticks fridge and its size. Just realised that my kitchen color theme is the same as urs, red and white combi. Btw, how much u paid for the fridge at HM? Any freebies?
-

-

-
mine is going to start on the 10th, juz 1 day after urs think our reno progress will be around the same liao loh but may be mine will be slightly delay coz in betwn i will be having hdb contractor to do repair jobs...
-

-
I will be going to SBH this sat for dry laid of my living room tiles, hopefully i can find some thing tat we like at SBH and of coz must not be too expensive lah or else my hb will
-
I din noe abt that Nvm i will let yeak know abt that. since quite a few of us chose those "sprinkle" tiles, i tink he better be informed I not too sure whether will it be difficult to clear the dirt but I guess it should be quite ok coz the ridges not those "rough" type, it juz give abit of texture and non-slippery feel.
-
The balcony tile is not those very smooth type, got a bit of ridges. actually all the floor tiles we chose have sprinkles in them... Hehe i like those "bling bling" look The balcony might not be the most daring one, i tink my skirting should be the outstanding one. yeak was the one who chose the skirting for us coz he said that he can see that we dare to try out new things so he recommend us to take the black glossy homo skirting to match with our greyish marble tiles for the living, dining and bed room area. For the toilets wall tiles, we are hoping to use chili red-white, orange-white or hot pink-white combi but hafry and LSH dun have much choice so we will be looking around for better choice.
