  1. Hi, I think the seller may have removed the listing. But here is the link to the shop! https://shop115100055.taobao.com/shop/view_shop.htm?spm=a1z09.2.0.0.a2iaQ3&user_number_id=2330789901
  2. HDB will be upgrading our electrical supply soon so we went ahead. So far we only turn on one air-con at a time. No need (and no money) to run more than one at a time.
  3. Thanks for the compliment! The previous owner had the store room/utility room as per your current layout. It was big but we wanted a laundry room more than a huge store room. So we created a smaller one outside the open kitchen. Yes, we have air cons on both levels.
  4. Haha will try to post more I think it's the standard maisonette roof? No cover on the second floor but there's a semi sheltered slope so rain water will flow downwards. The previous owner installed an electronic rain shield but so far we haven't had any use for it. I could use some water to wash away the dust from the haze to be honest!
  5. Your layout is almost similar to my unit, except I had lots of weird angles in the toilets. Mine is a staircase corner unit so the house had a few weird corners. Our main pet peeve was the big wall that greets you the minute you enter the house and you have to go around to enter the kitchen. Sticking around to see your progress!
  6. Your design inspiration is what I would love to have if I didn't have a man (ie. husband) living with me hahaha. He loves a more masculine look so for our reno and finds the scandi look too feminine and soft. We compromised by having an industrial theme while I had free reign over the furnishings so I chose scandi-inspired and more light colour palettes for the furnishings. Looking forward to more updates!
  7. Yes we had a final round of touchups before our official handover and payment. Just have to mark it out w masking tape.

  16. SELLING POST Selling my brand new 4-slot knife holder from Kyocera. Suitable for knives with blades up to 20cm. Can be mounted or placed flat in drawer. Bought from Takashimaya for $108. Selling brand new in box for $100. Price does not include shipping. Slightly negotiable for fast deals.
  17. I haven't really documented the process of our reno upstairs as we didn't do much. Here's our very utilitarian bedroom. Our mattress is from Serta. Bed is from Ethnicraft. Master bathroom. Unfortunately the bathrooms in our unit are tiny and have very strange corners. It is hard to photograph but just enough for two of us. Worked around it with nice tiles and warm light. Will definitely have to keep clutter to a minimum. That's the beautiful Stockholm mirror from IKEA. Matte black rainshower set I got from a Group Buy deal from Daily Use. I've never gone down to their shop but their customer support via whatsapp and facebook is very prompt. Other amenities such as the sink and toiletbowl are from Lookz in Balestier.
  18. Living Room Lighting Options Again, our ID gave us a lot of lighting options for the living room light so it suits movie night, TV or just some ambient lighting when we are chilling at the balcony with friends. Here is the track light. We like to turn it on together with the cove lighting so the whole area is illuminated. View from the stairs. Cove lighting, which is made up of many long LED strips extending from the living room to part of the staircase to the dining area. Turning on the cove light alone makes it conducive for watching TV. This is the console LED strip. Creates a nice bar effect when people are relaxing at the balcony. And.... this is why all our housewarmings will be held at night. The house seriously looks much nicer at night haha!
  19. Thanks! Yeah, it's all LED so very energy-saving. But I can already forsee using the softer light when I come down for a midnight snack and perhaps the track light and cabinet lights for when I am entertaining in the kitchen. Will turn on the island light when we have a movie night and just need ambient lighting? Hehehe
  20. I haven't really documented the yard area much but only because it is hard to photograph and is very basic. The yard is where our gas heater and rubbish chute are located. I am also very glad we added the sink because it's really easy to fill up a bucket for mopping and I can also wring out my mop there. Have yet to test out our washing machine and dryer. LED T5 bulbs apparently only come in limited colour tones so ours turned out slightly whiter than we had hoped for. We really hate white light but we really shouldn't let them go to waste so we are using them until they blow... which might be a long time considering it is LED hahaha... Finally took pictures of our store room door/chalkboard wall! This is directly in front of our main door and I think I'll have lots of fun writing welcome messages and meal plans for the week. This was something I really wanted and requested my husband and ID help achieve.
  21. We've been going to the house almost everyday now because it feels like home but haven't had the time to move our personal belongings yet (dreading packing, moving and unpacking hahaha). Anyway, I took these last night to show the lighting in the house. I think our ID did a good job of giving us options for the types of mood we'd like to create at home. And we really saved cost by going for the most basic styles to match our industrial... nothing fancy. We only have track lights, LED strips, LED T5 bulbs, one plumen bulb, two filament bulbs and two IKEA floor lamps that cost $100 each. Kitchen We have four options for lights - track, cabinet backlight, island LED strip and sink LED strip (this is more for function as our sink area is blocked by cabinets and as you can see... quite dark). With track light:
