  1. May I know who is your FSM, and if I can also have his contact?. You can PM me if not convenient. thanks ps: does he do life/palm prediction as well?
  2. ooh.. like that ar. thanks for the info. But, what about facing toilet?.
  3. Any reason why stove can not put directly opposite the window? (based on fengshui) Coz we din engage FSM.
  4. Thanks for the compilation!! super informative!! . Yes, the one we enquire is at Jurong west blk 501 (so we call), and one shop opposite (I guess competitor - having the same price as well). Kong Tai Electrical Trading TEL: 65658924, 65658970 Location: Blk 504 jurong west st 51 #01-221 Toshiba 955wss Direct Drive, cost ard $970. In IMM, mom saw 1300+. (with Best Denki's complementary bag though)
  5. Hi Sparey, why don't u compare with the neighbourhood electrical shops. (one way to support those neighbourhood shops as well). For my case, most probably I may be getting from them since they are cheaper.. and some even cheaper by almost $300+ (for the fridge I am eyeing for).
  6. ok. thanks.. aha.. just remembered after visiting the site redbottle gave. The one I visited was ClosetDesign (served by a young cheerful nice chap). quoted $2.1k-2.2k for 7ft mbr (US Design - if not mistaken)
  7. This forum getting pretty exciting.. lots of sharing and different ideas, opinions and advices around Some info from other member on built-in oven (the model s/he use: Oven: Cuizino (Italy) ~ $400plus). I wonder what he meant with glass door, will the cabinet have any other glass door?. the only access to the oven is the oven door, which is made of glass, right? *not sure if s/he really use built-in, or place a portable oven into a hole/reserve space for oven. Confused My question to one of the forumer: I get to know that you bought Cuizino Oven (Built-in to cabinet). May I know if you use it a lot?. And what is the quality?. what about the impact/effect it made to the furniture due to the heat?. I heard one salesman told me that built-in not so good, cause it will cause your cabinet turn fragile and yellowish. Is it true?. Reply from the forumer: Hi the cuizino oven is quite good. I dun use it v often nowadays but i used to use it quite a lot to cook and bake cake when i first move in. The built in whether will affect fragile and yellowish, i am not sure. So far no yellowish but the wood bulge up due to high heat. So ID has change the doors to glass doors for us. I suggest if u want built in, make yr cabinet doors glass so the heat will not damage the wood.
  8. Thanks for the oven info binzz... pretty useful for me at this stage. Some with self-cleaning (pyroxxx something, which use high degree, ard 500 degree celcius to wash away the oil or mess, or burn the food residue into dust-it shocked me, sounds more like a cremation box now). I wonder what are the functions need to take note without needing to spend so much on such a high tech stuffs. Some ppl mentioned that for the timer (analog I suppose), you can't turn anti-clockwise, as the spring can spoil. Not sure if it is true or not (I do that often to my microwave and looks okay ) Btw, Binzz, will it spoilt the kitchen cabinet where u put the oven. Heard frm salesman that it will spoil easily due to the heat out frm the oven. sigh.. confusing. Any insight? Linggie, heard from other thread/forum, that ariston/mayer's after sales service is quite bad and charge high (even for transport for them to go your house to check min around 30-40 bucks, that fee is apart from the broken parts), and took quite long to repair.
  9. Mind to share where you bought the oven? which brand and how much?. Visited Rina electrical yesterday to look for a brandt built-in oven, and they are off for the day. wasted my time..
  10. Hi One, Just wanted to confirm, you signed up with Alumix and cost $1500 for your 7ft wardrobe?. Sounds pretty good deal. Mind to share where you had the deal and who do you deal with?. It sounds cheap, as the other day we've checked it costs around $2k-2.2k for 7ft mbr. Btw, which carrefour is it?.
  11. Hi Yang Guo, Nice pictures. Do share with us more. Mind to share what is the design consideration of having your oven mounted on the wall?. any specific reason?. (Cause I am still not sure if my built-in oven - to the furniture - will be able to withstand the heat and whether it will be fine in the long run/use on the oven). Thanks
  12. Peng*Ling, I think so far, samsung one is still the best, crisp, clear and smooth. Have you started your reno?
  13. Hi Dorcas, PD Door (http://www.pddoor.com/) is the kind where you can slide and swing (slide at the center to the side, and swing for the last panel, like a bifold door). I believe it runs on the track at the top, so there is no track on your floor. Personally I think it will be a bit flimsy since no support from the floor track, but well, it depends (some wardrobe I've seen is quite sturdy without floor track). Wanna share how much you bought it? Thanks for the info, very informative! btw,how did you achieved 17ft L-shaped wardrobe? Do you mean 7ft in MBR or you combined MBR with another Bedroom?
  14. fixed panel at the fridge side, cause the swing side will rest by the wall when you open. (otherwise it may block your fridge). For those that do not have 5-rm floor plan. Jln Membina 5rm flat
  15. For me, what I did is a normal swing tempered glass door. (two panels, one fix and one swing). The reason of two panels is that the width of the door is going to be quite wide, and causing the glass door to be heavy. therefore we opted for two panels. and it can swing either side. As for sliding, there are sockets at one end (inside the kitchen) and MCB at the other side (MCB = Main Circuit Breaker??).To relocate, etc we feel is a bit of hassle and spend more money, so can save a bit there. We didn't opt for floor spring is because safety issue to the kids, in case they follow you from behind while u open the door and u didn't know, or some other scenarios where they plan with it and the floor spring will add pressure/hurt their little hands. Otherwise you can opt for one which can be flipped (dunno what it's called), something similar to PD door.
  16. For "galaxy" (I think Impreial galaxy, it is black) my renovator quoted $90/psf I think, and for kitchen glass door.. how come it is so expensive? From what I know it range around $400 to $500. Depends on what kind of thing u request, unless it is too fancy, say there is floor spring, etc.
  17. That was such a best buy.... $300 Well, good for you.. :) *at least you dun need to spend the time to source for one..
  18. Yaikkss.. $100 increase over electrical items.. Haizz.. I thot all electrical appliances prices will always go down eventually. Seems like this brandt is something exceptional. Nevertheless, I have requested the brochure to be sent. visited their website, and seems the languages are either france, italy or something. dun mind to pay a bit more for something last longer, hassle free and trouble free, as it gonna be one time investment. Mind to share your model, price and where you get it?. any specific functionality of it, as why you choose that model?. Linggie, that is a nice Oven . May I know how much you bought or how much is the retail price?. any specific functionality of why you choose that specific brand or model?. Thanks!
  19. Hi Binzz, My reno still 0% completed. Waiting for HDB to cement screed (sand is up).. will call and push them up on Monday/next week. Will update weekly on the progress for sure. Bought Mitsubishi Electric System 3 (9,9,9 BTUs) + System 2 (9, 12BTUs) with bracket for stacking both compressor up for $4987 from AllBest. Price pretty standard and kinda fix from this shop. Next purchase will be Lighting, Hob & Hood, Sink, Tap, Oven. Those are needed to have a confirm measurement to renovator. Going for Built-in Oven may be getting Brandt model. Anyone has any other recommendation for built-in oven. (Heard that Ariston and Mayer's after-sales service/support are lousy).

  21. Well, Alister.. We thought of this same point yesterday as well, and stumble upon the same issue.. IF it is because the fridge get restricted by the base in future (if we change fridge) or washer, does that mean both your fridge and washer are not placed beside the kitchen cabinet?. (if both are placed beside the kitchen cabinet, I think both appliances will also be restricted by the kitchen cabinet - in terms of width). Questions may only subject to the depth - from where you stand to the wall, where the appliances are placed against). personally, I 'feel' having a base will be good, in case pipe in the kitchen sink leak, while kitchen drainage stuck. it may overflow your kitchen. But again, this item is chargeable by renovator - and is not cheap too. I too was thinking whether to take out this item or still put it in place. It would be good if you have some other points/views whether to support having it or to take this out.
  22. Just wanted to check if you did the homo tiles first or the laminate flooring first?. I have some bedrooms going to have laminate flooring, so not sure about the order. ps: Order as in the order on what to do first, home tiles or laminate flooring Can kindly advise please?. Thanks!
