  1. A man must look cool but it's NOT cool to be wearing black and white all the time. It totally defeats the purpose of being "smartly dressed". What works for him may be a safe-proof method but he will become super boring in the long run. What you can do is to compliment him alot on what colour suits him, should work if he is confident enough to try out others. No problem about the contact. The tailor shop got alot of clothing samples you both can look and your guy can discuss with the tailor how he likes it done. One good thing about the tailor is that he is good with the measurements and need little prodding as he will ask your preference this and that. Your mum must have worked on your dad's EQ part de.
  2. Can send it via parcel? Not sure if your sis is really going to lug it back from TW cos there will be charges for extra weight to the luggage. Yeah mine's particular but I don't need to buy the shirts myself 'cos he will choose himself unless we both agree on the colour and the shirt . My hub had a few shirts done at Mr Personality, located at Peninsula Plaza, either 3rd or 4th floor. Have many good reviews on Mr Personality online before if I remember right. 1 normal work shirt is about 70sgd but if with cuffs for cufflinks, its 90sgd. Haven't been there in a while since last year so I am not sure if the price is still the same or gone up since this year? You're so lucky that you don't need to iron your guy's shirts. PS: Pastel pink colour shirts look nice! Maybe yours can try chocolate/brown shades as the next black colour.
  3. Yeah it's those traditional handheld fan that folds when closed but it's kinda pretty cos of the ornamental carvings on the sides. It looks good being framed on the wall that way. Haha your entry about your guy and the shirts are kinda hilarious. Men are kinda particular to the last min details leh. For eg, the pocket detailing is one particular trait besides the cuffs.. Guess our guys are kinda similar in a conservative manner. But best is go tailor-made (Worth the money more + materials are soft but watch out for those that give you a hard time to iron.) The ironing part is what I hate most cos it probably is either my worst skill in household chores or that the material dun agree with my style of flattening it out with the iron. lol
  4. Toaster & Microwave is kinda hard unless u can put microwave and toaster on solid surface top leh. Mine's sitting on the surface top anyway Wallpaper is so nice but got to maintain it in such humid weather. Can peel off very fast if not careful that's why its even better if its in a air con area. One of my neighbours constructed a small wall facing the main door and he put a mirror there & above it is a fan with chinese character.(not the full height type, just the size of those stand on mirrors)
  5. Ya la, her sister is so chio, i had to take a double take when i saw her wedding pics. Although makeup is the effect of the beauty, her sister's features are the sharp accentuated type so much that she looks like a model in her PS. I think I'm worse haha, 'cos I would gobble my dinner quite fast, in less than 10 min and I run back to the living room to watch tv as usual last time when I was a kid.
  6. Yup its a lovely colour, the colour will look darker depending on the lighting at night. Day time, its more nicer looking with the natural light peeking in from the window.
  7. I have the same colour for the study room, the one in your MBR. Just one wall only. Must show pics of your furniture in the home, looks more cozy and inviting this way. (Gives me the opportunity to drool. )
  8. Sorry for my late reply. Been busy with work & RT server is sluggish of late. Pinkpetter, Angel81: I understand both your views. It is up to us to correct the mistakes, not make an issue over the mistakes firstly. Besides the real issue should be up to the owner of the pics if it is considered inappropriate. So we'd shouldn't be too hard over a fellow forumer if its not intentional. Also, congrats on your completion of your home, angel! Got photos of furnitures yet?
  9. We shouldn't be too hard on that point, Im sure that rondy was not being intentional in that manner regarding the 3D photos. Rondy, I believe you can post the link of other blog in here instead of posting the 3D photos since its for reference only
  10. mamaliz's kids are very cute & look very mischievous. But I dun think they're twins cos they're not similar as the one on the left is older and bigger in size. Twins have identical genes even in DNA cos same egg, so they will be closer in growth actually. But yeah, they do look a little mixed, pan-asian/eurasian look
  11. Yeah fengshui is a personal concern for the home owner. If very pantang, then the best is to use a colour that neutralises the red something like that. Or else can use an alternative = orange colour.
  12. One of my WG for PS was really tight. I had to hold everything in with a deep breath & smile like in front of the camera. I think its due to the waistline design of the gown I was wearing for my PS. My AD one was also the tight type cos its the heavy, beaded type. I never can understand why WGs are tighter than EGs. But then some EGs come with a can can skirt which is a little funny to be walking around in one.
  13. Thanks flyingballoons for your concern. I still think of the puppies every then and now for they're really special to me. Words alone can't describe the feeling I have for the pups but I'm sure they're happier up there and looking down on us with happiness.
  14. Sky, not much variety that time I went to choose. That's why clean out in 2 hours. The only hassle is got to maintain your weight & figure until your AD. 'Cos it would be troublesome to choose again to adjust the size on the 2nd fitting before AD. I went on a fruits diet for lunch everyday for a month just to maintain that since WGs are so tight.
  15. Ranval, appointment is like that leh.. alot of brides will try on gowns and book them so there will not be much selection range for you to choose. You should ask whether there are newer and recent arrivals before you make appointment. For me, i just popped into the BS that time with my hubby suddenly and our co-ordinator was accomodating. I tried on like quite a number of gowns + evening gowns in close to 2 hours there. (total of 7 for the ps) That time not alot of choices. In the end when I went for my 2nd fitting just days before my AD, guess what? The wedding gown I choose, did NOT materialise. The BS claimed that the gown was damaged but I'm skeptical. I suspected that another bride must have taken the gown or something like that. So I insisted for a similar design if not the one of my own choice. The BS had no choice but to take 3 new WG designs from their new sister shop for me to try on. Though new, the design was not really exciting, only suited my frame. No choice to take the alternative choice. My baby ger is doing ok, her last pup did not make it. Now up in doggy heaven.
  16. Skywolf: Don't worry, just try on the gowns see which you like and flatters you. I also had no idea how to choose even though I'd been flipping through bridal magazines. In the end I tried some gowns here and there till i found one that suited my frame. (Its alot harder finding gowns to suit petite frames) Not every design suits the frame so you need to see what works for you than visualising it. Ranval: Have u booked the MUA yet? Photographer / Video that stuff? I like sashay, so cute.
  17. Thanks all for the concern pinkpetter & angel. I'm sure they'd be happy roaming about as angels up there. That's a pretty image I have in my mind, the puppy faces, the wings, fatter but still small with eyes open & the aura is serene for sure.
  18. I don't think we've tried enough. Its quite sad that the puppies did not manage to look at the world as they had not opened their eyes yet. Sort of a personal regret for me that I can't see them grow up though. Very depressing somehow & my only consolation is that the puppies will be happier in doggy heaven compared to the suffering they'd went through when they were still alive.
  19. Thanks everybody for the well-wishes and concern. I appreciate the help given too. Now for the final update :- The last pup died this morning despite our efforts to feed the puppy. I feel so sad that I was not able to save the pup. The last pup would have been a week old now from its birth last week.
  20. The powdered milk Im not sure, will ask my mum what she put as she prepare it herself. Will get powdered milk forumlated for puppies. Syringe without the needle right? Thanks both
  21. Honey water. Feeding it every 15 min till it has enough to get through the night. It has refused cow milk, his mother's milk and powdered milk. I also don't know what else can i feed it with?
  22. I hope so.. anyone knows what else can i feed a newborn pup with if it refuses milk and powdered milk?
  23. Latest update. The mother had been given a jab at the vet yesterday. One of the puppies refused to drink milk and died later today. The other puppy, the white one is still hanging on. Its very weak now and has only taken some honey after refusing milk. I think the jab given to the mother had caused her milk to be unsuitable to be drunk. Now I am worried. Going to have to feed the puppy every 15 min. This is very heart breaking esp hearing that the first 8 weeks are the critical period for newborn puppies.
  24. Apple: Its the first I find out for myself since the birth of the puppies. Kinda dumbfounded at first cos I initially thought it applied to only hamsters. Thanks for the well wishes for the pups. Flyingballoons: Will update when I see them next. They've been taken to the vet for checkup by my dad to be on the safe side. Scared to put them with the mother alone so will have to wait till they get bigger and old enough to walk.
  25. Now left are the white with black spots pup & the light brown pup. The white pup is such a greedy one for milk from his mother. Its the fattest as you can see.. Looking from the pics, I realise the dead puppies were so small & not that fat as their brother. So fragile.
