    How much are your led ceiling lights? Saw the minimalist type at hoe kee for like between $60-90 and went to get them from taobao instea for like less than half the price(haven include shipping).

    Waiting is a tiring game. Hope that the tiling works are completed this Wednesday as E mentioned it takes a week. We are kinda behind schedule already. Sharing some of our taobao purchases. We are using ezbuy to purchase taobao stuff & would say it is definitely not worth it if you are not a prime member. You don't actually save much cus the shipping(by weight) can turn out scary(in our case). Furthermore you have to pray that the items are intact and functional. So far for these items we have shipped, one is missing(white cotton bud holder). Contacted ezbuy weeks ago but yet to get a response from them :/ These are my personal views on the items based on their price & quality & whether they are worth buying even. 1)Floor mat for bathrooms (mai hiam buay pai) Quality 3/5 2)Cafe style floor mat for kitchen (mai hiam buay pai) Quality 3/5 3)wooden bread tray (bo hua) Quality 2.5/5 4)cotton bud holder (mia) 5)tissue holder (wu hua) Quality 4.5/5 These items are yet to be unboxed and will be reviewed later. 1)Door knob 2)Led ceiling lights 3)track for track lights 4)track lights 5)filament bulb

    We were working on a full sliding door initially without the wall. However due to budget we decided to go for "open" concept instead. Yeah been waiting for the lightings in batches and they just arrived like finally. U are more interested in the dining ones right?

    Went over to our place last night to check on the placing of aircon and also to open door for some ezbuy delivery. There really is nothing much to show for now. Tiling works been progressing really slowly. The progress of now is: ✔️Rewiring ✔️Kitchen & toilet screeding ✔️aircon installation It was really dark since the lights are not up yet & preg brain me forgot to take photos of the aircon and taobao stuff for the hubs to see. The only thing that im glad seeing tonight are the tiles which we have selected for our mbr toilet laid out on the ground. We really love how it looks and can visualise how its gonna look on our wall already.

    Yeah.... The hubs wanna have like a countertop =) The left side part is to cover the fridge. The wall can also act as a separation to place our dining table which I was telling you about. It will be infront of the wall =)

    Hello Reiken No need to be sorry la, nothing to do with u. As long as they meet the timeline im ok. They supposed to arrange their workers accordingly ma. Tilers to start this Mon supposedly. Me too only kitchen & 2 toilets. 2 toilets half tiled only. heard that tiler now at my place doing and will take a week! but this morning photos only waterproofing so abit sian. kind of on a tight schedule cus of the bun in d oven. Edd just few weeks away from completion date so praying that my bun will stay in the oven til his due date Mayb they also trying to do everything before 7month? Thanks for your encouragement.

    Its Thursday already... This week gonna come to an end. However works seem to have slowed down And my worry bells are ticking. Yesterday electrcian went in to remove the existing wiring. Not sure if they run new ones already. Asked E for progress updates yesterday but only got his msg today and that only waterproofing was done and that tiling work will take a week (which means end of next week). Kind of not on schedule. Wondering if its cus they arranged for the tilers to do other projects first. Hopefully they can catchup since we finalised our carpentry last weekend with them so that they can have it built and put up immediately once tiling & flooring is done. Keeping fingers crossed but cant help worrying. If anyone is with J&E, so they normally not reply whatsapp and only respond more to calls. They will only reply when they need to ask stuff or need info from us. These are our tiles from hafary and cant wait to see them on our floors & toilets soon.

    Hacking has finally completed. E said that tilers can only come in on Mon. We'll be meeting J&E on Sunday to finalise our carpentry, tiles placement & electrical stuff. Cant wait!

    Thanks! Cant wait for the tiling and electrician to start coming in next week. From the hdb web, it has not undergone the HIP upgrading and also didn't see it in the plan.

    Hi Yelena Hubs & me are looking at cement screed walls too but we were wondering if it could withstand the splashes of water for at least a good 5 years? It will be full cement screed walls in the common bath since it will not be often used for showers and partial for MBR toilet. TIA!

    Our biggest dream have come true. We finally have our own little abode after months of searching for a place that fits us and sourcing for contractors. Not forgetting the many trips to HDB since we are first time buyers who are not engaging an agent. So here we are, making our dreams come true. And this will be our little diary to store our memories. Home is where the heart is.
