  4. Hello, my reno started in Jan and completed in March. After settling down and after all the house warming lunches/dinners, finally found some time to post some pics here. Mine's a 4 room in Sgoon Central. Reno was done by Mr K from Ideal House.
  5. Yo... nice, man!! We got similar wardrobe design (the 1 in your daughter's room) - with the pull out mirror i thought that was a clever way to make use of the space below the beam
  6. To add on, with my own experience with K. I bought a top mount kitchen sink. However, it was mistakenly undermounted. I raise the problem with K 1 evening, he arrived immediately to look at it. At that point he wasn't sure, but to rectify, likely have to destroy half of the solid top. I was also paiseh, cos it wasn't really his fault or my fault - just a communication issue. I asked if he would lugi if rectify to which his reply was "Don't worry whether i lugi or not. Most important thing is, u are gonna live here for the next 10 years, u must be happy with it." If the sink was damaged, he was prepared to buy a new one (it wasn't cheap). He asked his guys to assess and in the end, luckily could rectify without destroying the solid top. Renovation unlikely to go all smoothly . But K was responsible and rectify faults readily. And did i tell u he redid my entire pebble wash at the entrance foyer FOC cos the color didn't turn out the way i wanted it to be? I second that. The carpenter did quite a good job. Last week he and K came down to help mount my flat panel TVs (heavy). Both of them are jokers!
  7. Tiling, carpentry, painting, plastering are good ... the wire trunking done by the electrician wasn't as good as i wanted - there's 1 in my MBR which wasn't done well - K say will fix it I reused my old furniture, so didn't ask K about it. But I don't think ID would usually do that, right?
  8. Just PM-ed you the details. He charged me $420. Plus $30 for additional location cos I gave away my old tv console to someone else. Good luck!! Oh ya.. and he didn't charge me for extra boxes.
  9. i asked for 30 initially, but was worried that it wasn't enuff, so he gave me 40. Day before the move, i asked for another 5 more (to pack loose items which i would myself). No extra charges. No need to return the boxes or place deposit... !! i could have called him at a bad time or in the middle of a move.. but that's aright
  10. Feedback on Cornerstone movers: 45 boxes plus furniture and electrical appliances. They were late for an hour (can't blame them cos i changed the schedule on short notice, they had to squeeze in a slot for me). The boss, John came first and quickly assessed the things to moved. Shortly, his movers came. Incl. John, there were 8 of them. Swiftly they wrapped and moved away all the stuff, all under an hour, 2 lorry loads. Travelled to the new place (5km away) and unload all the stuff under an hour as well. My new place was 1 level below lift landing, not an issue for them. Everything completed in 2 hours. Only complaint is that when removing the tempered glass from my dinning table they made a 5cm scratch to table top, which is a magnet for scratches. But i had scratched the table before when i removed the glass myself (heavy), so.. what the heck...
  11. 20! That would have been unmanageable... he told me something like 10. He has an assistant, Bernard to help him go on sites to make sure things are going well.
  12. i have used aluminium poles for 5 years... whether sofa covers or bedsheets, no problem.
  13. Ikea got nice lightings, and relatively cheap too. A bit regret didn't getting from there.
