  2. Nice sharing @JOYWALKER, amazing to see your home taking shape over the months. My place gonna come 3Q2021 and I have absolutely clueless where to start beside knowing that I want a japandi minimalist theme, and that I should be talking to ID now. Do you have advice on ID selection, like what questions to ask and what to look out for? Can you PM me your ID and cost of reno? Thanks much.
  3. @JOYWALKER, haha no barrier I need to turn on 2 aircon. I really like how your design turns out, hopefully it will be cold enough, else I might have to get those movable partition. You mind to share how much your reno cost?
  4. Thanks for the sharing. Nice idea to separate the living room and bedroom using curtain. How well does the closed curtain keep the cool air inside the bedroom and prevent leakage into the living room?
  5. Based on this (https://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/residential/buying-a-flat/new/buying-process/timeline), it seems like you will need a valid HLE on signing the lease agreement. Suggest you write to the HDB officer in charge of your case and get it in writing.
  6. Hi, I am looking for a contractor to refurbish my current 4 room flat that is about 20 years old. Specifically, I need the contractor to: 1) Sand down the current spray paint painting on the wall for the whole house. 2) Fix up hairline cracks around the house (~10 to 15), and a small hole (~10cm diameter). 3) Paint the whole house. Could any one advise me of the likely cost and duration for such works? Could I stay in the house during the refurbish period? Also could anyone recommend a trustworthy contractor that have experience in such job? Thank you very much.
  7. Not sure if this was poated before or elsewhere. Renovation website and apps that looks useful. https://renotalk.com/sg
  8. Seem like sink can be positioned. http://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/residential/living-in-an-hdb-flat/renovation/sanitary-and-plumbing/-gas-works https://www.homeguide.com.sg/understanding-the-hdb-guidelines-for-sanitary-plumbing-gas-installation-in-easy-ways/
  9. Seems like a bit of regulations on having a bathtub as stated here (http://www.homeanddecor.com.sg/blogs/bathroom-reno-installing-bathtub-your-hdb-flat).
  10. I assumed the fridge will be at the right side of this picture? I read that kitchen setup would be good to based on the concept of "work triangle", the setup will follows "Preparation -> Cooking -> Washing". Your setup seems to be a single wall kitchen. Do you think it would be good to have the sink in the middle rather the stove? So that you end up walking less in preparing meals. The sink being just beside the wall, would that lead to water splash? Did you take your height into consideration when designing the kitchen, else it might end up you bending over too much or over reaching.

  12. I would get the energy saving type, party for utility saving, and for using less energy. But I think better to think in terms of functionality too. Don't play for branding only.
  13. Sengkang - Nov 2017 BTO unit selection seems to have started today. To all with ballot number, may the odds be ever in your favour in choosing your dream unit.
  14. I know that the newer LED lights allow switching of lights (day, warm, blue) by just switching the switch on-and-off in quick succession. Not sure if such LED lighting is available for rail lighting.
  15. This HDB design gave me months of headache. But I came across "bi-fold shower screen" on pinterest. Google it, it might be worth considering.
