  1. Hi there. I suggest u ask yrself whether yr current place has enough electrical power points for ALL yr need and whether they are at yr prefered location? I'm sure you don't wish to inconvenience yrself with insufficient power points or having to arrange yr electronic equipments and furniture according to the power points. shldnt it be the other way rd?? Power Points ARE 1 of yr lovenest's MAIN infrastructure. Getting it right the 1st time is extremely important to prevent future headaches. It will cost a little more $$ to increase the number of points or re-locating them but I wld put it as an investment such of positive returns. Imagine just the requirement of yr entertainment system. A TV, stereo system, blue-ray player, game console(s), decor light(s), etc etc....just @ 1 area...how many points are needed? Do u want to turn on ALL of them together? if yes, cramp them altogether in 1-2 multi-plugs. if no?? of cse, u might say u will plug in the power adapter(s) only when u need it.....YEAH, right.... I added 20% more power points during my renov......now yr topic reminded me regretting not installing more..... For a over 10 year ols unit, u might want to check yr phone line for broadband capability too. condition of wiring/line might affect yr connection.
  2. 10 yrs worth of mold is almost impossible to remove even by chemicals. Like one of the members put it another thread ....'The mold has successfully applied for PR status on the sillicon strip'. However, U might want to try Mr. Muscle's 'Mold Remover'. Its available from all major hydermarts and retails @ $5.50 plus. I'm able to remove the mold from my shower-screens and sink's sillicon strips with it....but mine's only stayed abt 12 mths......gd luck.
  3. Oh! 2 yrs! Sure Mr. Mold got his PR entitlement! U reminded me.......im gg to send Mr. Muscle to chase off Mr. Mold after im done with the computer!
  4. For the mold, it CAN be clear by Mr. Muscle's Mold remover. Get the CORRECT Mr. Muscle's product. Get the mold remover. The bottle is solid orange in colour and NOT see-thr plastic which u can see the liquid agent. It costs abt $5.50 A NTUC or Giant superstore. If u live near Chong Pang, get it @ $4.40 @ a store call 'CK' near Chong Pang Market. Hello88, U might have bought the wrong product from Mr. Muscle. If u bought the correct product but still can't remove the mold, im not that surprise either. Because it happened to me too. My toilet's shower screen silicon strip was almost 75% covered by stubborn mold and can't be removed by whatever agent or brush. Even SAF's famous insect repellent can't remove it! During the 1st 3 continuous uasage of the mold agent (with a time different of an hr ebwteen each use), there was ZERO effect! Thought I wasted $$ again. Gave it last try. Rinse the area with water, spray mold area with mold agent again and left it overnight. Next morning, discover that abt 20% of the mold was gone! Repeated the process on-and-off for 2 days, 100% removed! Spray, leave it and rinse off! Now am maintaining @ cleaning once a wk, have not seen MR MOLDY for the past 3 mths!! Even without lifting a brush!---> I'm Mr. Happy! Hopefully, u guys too!
  5. Leen, gd write-up. Thanks for sharing. Simplyguy80, I encountered a simpler case abt 2 yrs back in a carpark while waiting for my gf. They will park their van IN FRONT of my car, open up the side door and quote the same story. Talk lots of BS and are pessitance!! Even when i show them the 'walk-to-my-palm' gesture, they still kept BSing. So pissed up that I call the police. Really called! Called the hgg police station and not the ER 999, i always have several distrist's PS number in my phonelist just in case. Reported the incident right in front of their face, on speaker phone. And said out their van no. plate out loud. They called me ah xiao and left immedialty. Gave a brief statement to the officer who answered my call but they say they will not investigate since there's no injury. Expected that too.......
  6. Common ploy is might be. All if not most can work for the money. *sigh*.......
  7. Dear Sembawang home owners, I wld like to share an incident with you guys. If yr family members or yrself encounter this before, kindly HIGHLIGHT! Crime Prevention is our duty! On my off-day resting @ home at abt 1030am, a man in his 40s wearing blue checked shirt, blue jeans & brown leather shoes knocked on my door. Speaking good english, said that his daughter is very sick in Canberra Secondary school (Its a wkday, normal school day) and wishes to borrow $$ to send her to hospital. Also said that he IS my neighbour living at XX floor and even gives me a unit number ---> One which doesn't exist in my block. I thought that him, being panic, gave the wrong unit number. But me having never see him before in this area before decided to probe more. Saying that school can and must send his daughter to hospital in the case of ER. At the hospital, there is no CASH first and treatment LATER rules. After hearing this, he kept silence. Then I suggested calling up the school to enquire more ---> Actually i was going for my camera-phone to snap his pic. Then he changed the subject saying he needs $$ to take taxi to school. Instead, I proposed that I DRIVE him to school. Before I can snapped a pic, he said he didnt wish to bother me and left quickly. I was in a catch-22 situation. Real vs phony, and a life is involved if real. What wld have happened if one of my elderly had answered and how wld they respond to this situation? Hows wld yrs?? I wldn't know the end-game. My only regret was not being able to convince him to take a ride in my car --> To either school/hospital or police station. Pls do share yr incident if you deem its needed.
  8. Hey there, sorry to hear abt yr problems. You might want to try out a product from Mr. Muscle. It is orange in colour. Choose the one which states for removing MOLD. You can get it from any leading supermarkets. I think I got it from NTUC SM at $4.80. It helped me remove VERY BAD mold and strains on silicon sealant and white powdery along sinks. It solved the problem after I applied the solution on the mold/strains a few times. Hope it will help you as it helped me.
  9. I take it as you wish to revamp yr hall. May I suggest you take into consideration of the colour and make of yr current anf future furnitures and electronics items? And of cse the 'mood' you wish to set fo yr hall. I believe yr hall will be the 1st things your guest observe when they 1st step inside yr house. These will affect yr hall colour selection. I.E. U have a thing for bali style of furniture and mood. You can't possibly choose blood red and shocky pink, right? A dark cream colour, off-white or lime green will be great. Modern settings? Retro settings? Lots of different tastes. Hope this helps you. It takes a lot of effort to do painting. Don't waste it. Invest in yr thoughts 1st.
  10. Hey, thanks lot for the recommendation! It works!
