I see...maybe we are too use to seeing it straight so never even think that it is possible to rotate, will keep that in mind for our next change! But the next change should be longer than the previous one...if any.

Yeah...these are the the Ikea VIKA AMON/CURRY table/leg combination. I took the 120x60cm one. 2 side by side at the window section. Plus 1 peanut shape table. The warped table throw liao leh. Basically I find that if too long the middle portion will warp down. So stick to the short one this time round.

OK...noted...will monitor. Thanks!

Can Recommend Aircon System 4 (non Inverter)?
keltong replied to lxiul's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
So far I understand sys4 non-inverter is very rare. Toshiba has one but is very expensive. Daikin has a cheap one (yes, cheaper, unbelievable) but cannot turn on 4 at the same time (which most will not anyway). I think there is one more brand with sys4 non-inverter but I forgot which one liao. Sorry cannot remember the price as I throw away all the quote for that liao. End up getting sys4 inverter. Can try calling Kun Seng and this company that always advertise on classified on Daikin brand. -
Hmm...if you are saying all the backing need to spray color one than I not sure liao. I was under the impression that the current one is a frosted glass, not spray on one. I find that in my previous install mostly is where heat and steam area got some signs of color coming off, other than that seems ok (when I sold it). The worst area is where the hob is. I am using stainless steel for the hob area this time just to play save. Check my blog. Cheers!

Heehee...had these in my old place. Once in a while, will have a sip, but no fine dining, jia buay bah (cannot fill stomach)...
-
Heehee..I know, when using the 3M stainless steel cleaner MaCe recommend, I already found a few small stubborn stains. But hopefully with the cleaner it will helps to protect the surface. I think glass is cheaper than steel bah...coz the carpenter will telling us steel price increase by a lot. You want to change after you have installed the stainless steel? Wow, than you pay twice for the same wall leh, think carefully ok.

Err...just my own experience. The 150x75cm table tends to wrap more easily as it is too long, the 4 legs cannot give enough support to the center portion. I had a 150x75cm and a 120x75cm table, the longer one wrap badly but the shorter one despite quite a bit of load still ok when I sold the house. Now the 120x75cm replace by 120x60cm, a bit small but should last longer too. Got 2 of it for my new place's study (which I use the room nearer to the living room), along with the space grabbing peanut shape table my son wants. Then again, if you don't put heavy stuff maybe not so bad, just sharing my experience. Cheers!

For your sake I will put up my last part of the kitchen photos. Heehee... My Kitchen Part 4 Backing up.
-
Hmm...how come we never think about rotating, just put it as the picture always shows...haha...maybe easier to use when rotated hor. My kitchen like office pantry, you muz be in one of those big company with nice pantry, coz my office pantry is almost non-existence I happen to saw this when I was buying other taps and I immediately committed on it when I see the cost of those designer type taps.

The walk space ok leh, if no L-shape we feel the kitchen will be really small. Yup, our hob is Ariston's vitroceramic 2 burner. Enough for use liao, we use the same at our own place and love it, so glad to grab the same during the Mayer warehouse sales recently, the one and only (I went on first day early morning leh! ) My hood, hob, oven from the warehouse sales:

Thanks...the while is actually a little bit off white but camera flash too strong I guess. Heehee....but I'm sure yours will turn out nicely. As always, I suggest going for at least 2-3 quotes to compare. Takes a little bit more time but will be glad you did. My 1st quote and 2nd quote was almost 1K different. The cooking area is stainless steel, the smaller piece is frosted glass. More pix coming right up! My Kitchen Part 3 Solid top up, waiting for backing. Sink up, with my cheapo $46 flexible tap.

My Kitchen Part 2 Laminate up, waiting for solid top.

Haha...that's the most accurate way of putting it. Hi candyprincess, here is the picture.

I suggest you check with your contractor on the installing of the rod on the glass panel. Get them to suggest a feasible way so that they will take responsibility if anything goes wrong. Glass backing is nice and I did frosted glass backing for one side of my kitchen cabinet. My last kitchen I kena cheated by my contractor, they use plain glass and spray while paint on it and assure me this is perfect way of doing it at a lower cost. End up when cooking or any area where it is exposed to lots of heat (like steam from your rice cooker, your kettle, etc..) will cost the paint to come off and left with lots of spots here and there. I totally ban that contractor, coz I think he is the only person in the world that does that.

Coz that place cannot have normal door so this is one of those door that can pull up and pull down (something like sliding). It is actually silver in color, the green color is the protective tape. Not stainless steel so muz be careful. The carpenter when cleaning the cabinet with thinner accidentally rub on it and the silver color gone and reveal the black color below. So have to change for me. So teach me a lesson to be careful when cleaning it. BTW, my kitchen is already done, just 'releasing' the photos when I arrange them. Still owe candyprincess a photo, took liao and upload liao but don't know why cannot find it now. Nvm, tomorrow try to find again, maybe my memory failing me.
