  1. Hi All, just received a quote from the sale person from Supreme. $4.80 psf for their AC5 laminated flooring, the best grade flooring with life-time warranty. Planning to do laminated flooring for my 2 bedrooms. Can anyone who just did laminated flooring in their houses to comment if this a a good price? Thank you
  2. I don't think HDB will step in since it did not assign its lawyer to act on your behalf. When you gotten your bank loan, you should be given a lawyer to act on your behalf, as this is a must according to the bank's rule. Approach your lawyer to take necessary legal action on the seller. You definitely can get some compensations since the seller has signed the OTP form.
  3. Don't know leh, but by looking at the brochure I received in my letterbox in Toa Payoh, 3-room and 4-room seem to have higher demand with more buyers asking for them I bought a 3-room flat for myself to stay, so no point to get a bigger unit. Because property is so expensive now agent said many people who are cash-rich rather buy smaller unit, wait for the property market boom to cool down, then upgrade to a bigger unit, so that they loses are limited
  4. You may wait for GoalHome to take a snapshot of the stone that is on offer this Saturday Well, even if silestone can go into different shape and size, I really doubt a Terrazzo-look stone will look nice to be used as a vanity cum basin
  5. $9 per square feet (originally cut from slab), which means any length you want but width is always 60cm, thickness is only 2cm. I think it can only be used for kitchen top. Colour is dark green. My kitchen floor is light green moasic tiles. Unless I replace the floor with something else, I will stick to green for kitchen top
  6. The purple is kind of pinkish purple. the whole pattern is very messy with black and purple clouds everywhere. I have a feeling it is their out-of-production stock cos it is not even listed on the brochure they gave me. It looks like those old fashioned Tarrazzo tiles. No mention of min. length by the salegirl, but you might want to clarify further with them upon ordering. As long as you are not buying a square feet only, I think it should be alright applefreak, I don't think the $60 one can be used as your vanity top
  7. Thanks for the advice, will look up on the newspaper for vinyl flooring coverage
  8. I went there last weekend with my hubby. Might be using them as they have pretty good offer on marble, though the colour of the offered marble is not attractive. Since it matches my flooring theme, I have no problem. A bit out of the topic The 2 sale personnel who entertained me were very friendly and nice, guess their workmanship should be ok too?
  9. Yeah, the address provided by applefreak is the correct one. Thanks, applefreak It is a form of solid surface too. The best part according to the sale woman is, totally idiot proof Which means scratch-resistant, water-resistant, stain-resistant etc. No maintenance work at all is needed. I was so tempting to use it for my kitchen top initially, but after looking at my budget, sigh...
  10. The kitchen in my new resale flat is moasic floor. As I hope to move in faster and bypass the hassle of hacking the floor, redoing water-proofing, lay new tiles etc, I am considering if I can simply lay laminated flooring on top of the moasic tiles. I know water is a big issue with laminated flooring, anyone has problem with it in the kitchen? I do pretty light cooking though, does cooking smokes stain the floor easily?
  11. Hi all, Will be collecting the keys to my newly bought resale 3-room flat soon. As the toilet has been upgraded by HDB 5 years ago, I am thinking of keeping the toilet bowl but upgrade the flush system to a dual-flush function. To save water usage on my bills lah Is this possible? Where can I find the shop which sells flush system? Appreciate any kind sole who has previous experience to share the knowledge, thanks
  12. Yeah, an offer of $60 is very attractive But the design and colour a bit orbiang Yes, the shop is in Changi. Well, if one has the $$, silestone is really a good choice. I find it to be better than granite since it is water-proof. The officer who served me said that silestone is totally scratch resistant, unlike Corian
  13. Hi everyone, just to share with what I have come across when planning my house renovation. I went to a shop last Sat that carries silestone as the material to use for kitchen top. Pricing range is between $150 to $170 per foot. If you are still keen to use it, they have an offer at the price of $60 per foot for one of the stone design. Colour is purple-like. I was quite keen initially but after consideration, my bf and I decided to go for something cheaper.
  14. I bought a 3-room corner high floor unit in Toa Payoh recently. First appt in end Jan and will be collecting the keys mid of Mar. COV is 20K with original condition. One thing I like about it is the unit is located in a quiet street yet 10 mins walk to MRT. The owner was initially asking for 50K but willing to sell at 40K. I managed to reduce it to 20K after I saw another corner unit on the same block with full renovation but asking for 30K COV. I did not want to take that unit because of top floor (my hubby dislikes it) and afternoon sun. You should try to bargain further, but first thing is, look around on other nearby units to see their asking price. Good luck
