hi purplesky i can't believe how sucky her attitude is....n moreover she isn't even the customer! it's really a tough thing for u as the home-owner, stuck btw her n the carpenters (i tot she suppose to talk to them instead of u?). actually if it's the 7th mth, i believe still can carry on ur reno since it's not like u started it durin this mth. agree wif happy...hold the payment. she shld rectify the defects tat arise from mistakes on their side. u should not b payin for their mistakes.

hmmm....not sure if my input will work for u guys.... my old hse MBR bathroom also have this prob n my mom was gettin really fed up over it. she tried havin ppl come in to look etc but no help also. after much 'investigation' wif her nose sniffin around for the source, she suspect the smell came from the area where the toilet bowl is connected to the bathroom floor. wif the naked eye, it seems like there's no crack or holes wif the cement holdin them together. since already at wit's end, she decide to juz try applying another layer of cement around the base of the toilet bowl to see if it will work. voila! no more smell.... hope things work out for everyone!

wah....if she say like this, better make her write it down in b/w tat they WILL change the tiles and laminate FOC for u if they even make any scratches. (based on their previous bad record) but quite norm to change 1-2 tiles after reno due to damages (which may come from moving furniture, not from reno) never hear bout havin the cardboard will cause problem in carpentry leh....cardboard is used to walk on and to put things on top so as to protect the floor. wat has tat got to do wif the carpentry? if it gets in the way, they can jolly well juz move it aside to make space. it's not like it's glued to the floor....

got the black KLIPPAN as we couldn't find a sofa outside that we like and fit our living room (space constraint) it's been a year and so far so gd.... end of the day, we didn't think much bout how lasting it'll be. we went wif our liking, budget and space....

u dun say....me at #204 n still can hear them! they got super lung power! at my old hse, we found out the culprits were sch kids who had nothin better to do. wonder if tat's the same here? (coincidentally, my old hse is near to a pri sch, which is the same as our estate now)
